Those will be mild setups, you are better off getting the Pyro for the 600 if you are set on a Kontronik motor.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

go for the pyro, if you want a good motor for 3d, inho is the best at this moment, you should have strong packs to see this motor perform well.
here is video of my 600

Thanks,
its not for 3D but for normal flying and long flight times.

Funny, beacuse the Kora Top Heli 30-12, which I can buy for a good price but is no longer available from Kontronik, is supposed to have 510 U/Min/V and the 30-14 which is available from Kontronik has 440 U/min/V. From the Tango's it is normal to have a lower U/min/V the lower the motor number is i.e, 45-10, 45-08, 45-07......

I have 2x5S and 620SAB but looking for 700's.

Any ideas?

well the in that case i can't give you an opinion because i never see an kora top for heli, i got two for my planes and waiting for a third one, they are really good motors, but the pyro i thinks is more eficient so maybe you will get a little more fligth time but not too much to justify the price diference if you don't need the power diference. but if you can get it for less than an xera the go for it but if not try an xera very well priced and have a reputetion to be very eficient.

Ive flown Pyro & KoraTop, got exactly same performance out of them, looking at the numbers they have same data (!)

Perhaps why they discontinued the Koratop, who knows.

No, the Pyro has better glue, different cooling so they are not the same on the outside, they probably have more expensive magnets in the Pyro too, but I couldnt see any difference in flight, in temps or performance.

Hej Fredrik,

so, for my Logo 600 the Kora Top Heli 30-14 is just as good for non 3D flying? Which pinion do you recommend? Desire 2x5S 4500mAh, 620 SAB., Jive 80HV.

Thats the problem, you cant run the KoraTop 30-14 in a Logo on 10s unfortunally.

Too low kv.

Ok,
so thats why they discontinued the Top 30-12: it competed with the Pyro (same kV). But if I can get an unused 30-12 at a fair price that would be an interesting option for me - instead of a Pyro?

Edit: should read 30-12 ....

For 700mm, would the 30-14 be a good motor then?

Thanks for your help Fredrik,
but I have 10S Desire's: is it possbile to use, for normal flight, these with the 30-12 then, on 620mm or 700mm? What pinion?

My pyro was way off on kv, Kontronik mailed back and said it could be 10% off, so its a hit & miss unfortunally.

But lets do a little calculations;

For normal flight, not top 3D.

With 620mm blades I would run 2100, which with 106T (mod 1.0) would require a 13T if kv is 510 like it should.

On mine (closer to 545-550kv) I have to run 12T.

For 700mm blades it really depends on what HS you want to like, I like higher pitch /lower RPM to save flighttimes, but many 3D pilots runs around 2000hs, so I would run a 12T if the Kv was 510.
(get a target aroun 1900-1950)

Yep, depends on batch of magnets.

Most manufacturers have a +-5% tolerance, actro and kontronik are the ones that have more (that I know of)

yea i hear about the actros too, but i was lucky my two 24-4 used to work like twins, same pinion, same % on the governor, and same problem, bearings.
