› If my charger put 3286mah back in to a 3300mah battery does that mean it was run flat?

Maybe a dumb question but I honestly don't know the answer... Seller says he discharged to 3.7v a cell but I don't know enough.. does that remove all MAH from the battery and is safe to do for storage or shipping purposes?

I normaly run down to 3.7 a cell and that is what you should, any more and you will be damaging your pack. for storage purposes you should have it about 3.9 per cell.

You probably don't know this but unless you are using an active balance charger like a Cellpro, the passive balancer can consume up to 10% or more of that number. This extra mAh is lost as the balancer bleeds off the high cells during charging. So even though your charger says you put in 3286, you may have only put back in more like 2900.

yea I did know that but I wasn't sure how much that would consume... thank you for that! Really 10% though??? Just seems like an awful waste of charge time.

thanks for the replies!

That's why I use a Cellpro

I did some comparisons between my Hyperion and Cellpro when I first got it and that is about what I saw. It was usually between 5% and 10%. But the larger the pack and the more you have to put in will likely increase that, or if the pack is not well matched.

Yup you get what you pay for. But if you are happy with the ones you have, then be happy you saved some cash.

The amount the balancer bleeds off depends on how good the pack is balanced, if it is perfectly balanced then the balancer will hardly need to do anything. 2640 is 80% of 3300, stick to that and you'll be fine.

60% of the time, it works every time!
