Hatori seems to be the only one you don't ever hear anything bad about. Except for the one seal managed to shred somehow.

If you get a muscle pipe then get the MP5 "SB" The sb pipe is more mellow and quite then thte BW hatori pipe even. It makes great power on a hyper. Very nice pipe for 80 bucks.

Which 50?? different engines like different pipes.

TT redline 53- Hatori 523 or CY MP5 (tried almost every pipe, best 2 IMHO)
Os Hyper- Hatori 522 or CY MP5SB (tried others best 2 IMHO)
Ys 50- Hatori 522 ( off heresay I have never run the Ys)

THere are other pipes that work really well also (these are just my personal favs. The only pipe recommend against is the Align, it isnt worth the aluminum it is made of.

Of all the pipes I've used, I like the hatori the best.

The CY MP2 was so bad, I didn't bother trying the MP5.

I have no issues at all with MP5s got 3 of them...

Badraptor are you saying if I switched around my normal MP5 and put it on my RL I'd would be better than the SB that's on there and move the SB to the hyper?

Given a choice , I'd always pick the Weston UK Genesis one-piece high-nitro pipe (regardless of fuel/nitro choice) .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

Not sure about the mp5sb on the hyper. But the MP5 on the TT 53 kicks some serious a$$.

I like the SB 50 Hatori it's been easier to tune by far than my MP2. I could not get the MP2 to stay tuned worth a crap but i don't know about the 5. I have 3 helis with the SB 50 on them and at first build i had MP2 and took them off and old them. There is one big thing i can tell you about the SB 50,there very hard to mount you will have to make you up two stand offs for the muffler. Get what money will allow.

Thanks

Hatori is great. I like the fact that the header is separate from the muffler. It is less prone to destroy your engine case in a crash because it can give a little.

My vote is on the Curtis Youngblood MP5 SB mufflers having 2 of them. Great power, sound, looks, and quality.

I've used most everything on a hyper 50.

Align pipe- Hyper runs well on this pipe, but the pipe will fall apart internally.

Outrage- Read Align description above.

MP5- Runs well, tunes easy, Does not produce as much power as some others. Had one come apart at the field yesterday, almost cracked right in half.

Hatori SB-50 JK Special- Nice pipe, quiet, produces ok power simmilar to the MP5. Good quality. Pro's and Con's on the soft o'ring style mount.

Hatori SAB-50 Bobby Watts- The best pipe on the market for the OS in my opinion. Produces the best power of all I've tried. And it's made by Hatori so you get the quality you expect. This one is the Cadillac and it aint cheap. But you get exactly what you pay for in this hobby.

Question is how many times do you want to spend money on a pipe? What type of flying do you do? I prefer to squeeze every bit of power out of a 50 I can.

Waiting for parts

I have had no problems with my Align pipe. I beat the crap out of it all last summer and even crashed it once. It is still running great.

My only beef with the Align pipe is that it is loud and raspy. It makes great power though so I can deal with it.

I have also used the MP5 pipe, sounded great, did not make as much power as the Align.

I love the new Align pipes , ive got 2 and have not had any issues , I sold my Hatori to get another one .

My buddy is also buying another one and ditching his outrage pipe .

My hypers just seem to purr with them , I love the note from them .
