For those that see the mah being sucked out your RX packs during flight with VBar & 8717, its good news, simply put, its fixed in v4

Thank god... the power consumption is just absurd especially in winter. My nitro heli almost feels like electric heli because of high mAh usage :P.

Can you be a little more specific?

Currently I'm using 512-530mAh per flight when I used to use 270-325mAh with a flybar. What are average consumption with V4.0 now?

My 2100mAH TP packs only give me 2 flights now (with 22% left at the end) when they used to give 4-5 save flights before...

Thx

Tony

That means I can expect a 320-350mah consumption per flight?... Interesting. That would mean at least 4 safe flights with a 2100mAh.

I will mount my datalogger once the software is available and check it out.

Thx for the info.

Tony

It all depends on your setup, you have to try when its released, but when I looked at my graph i couldnt beleive it was the same machine

Im pretty sure exact % gain will differs but on an avg it will be alot less anyhow.

My vibe50 and 8717s draw about 650 mahs per flight.. With my A123 2300 pack, I stop at 2 flights to be safe, but I can recharge and go in 8 miuntes, so current drain is not a big deal.. I will interested to see how V 4.0 improves it.

Am I reading the charts wrong or are both over 700mAh per flight?

EDIT: SOrry, I just realised that the V4 chart is showing 24m total flight time while the old one is only 9 minutes. Impressive.

yeah, old is one flight, with the v4 its two tanks + a bunch of landings in the middle of everything since I was testing alots of settings. But it will give an indication, specially since peaks are completly gone basically.
