These guys and girls were wandering across my property this morning, but I like these plankers, they never get in the way. The forth one is out of the picture, but not far behind.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

LOL
Yeah, they don't look like they can fly but they sure are graceful when coming in for a landing. They make a really load noise when landing like 'clear the area, we are landing'. But while they have babies they always walk since the babies cannot fly.

We have a retention pond on one side of a Publix parking lot and at dusk you can watch these come in by the dozens.

They won't bother a dog but they sure cleaned out my neighbors coy pond. Was she ever mad, good thing she didn't have a shotgun. She never did restock the little pond she built.

What pisses me off about them... is when they don't fly the pattern!!!

O.K. dumb joke coming.. I live in the Midwest, so this will be about Geese.

Ya know when Geese fly in a big V, sometimes the V is longer on one side then the other? Do you know why that is????

Wait for it...

Wait for it....

Wait for it......

Because there are MORE birds on that side!!!

We have a similar bird down here in NZ that like to flock at the end of our model strip (Hamilton, NZ)

A couple of months ago my mate hit one with a 90sized model plank. Blood, guts, feathers went in all directions. Model plane landed OK

Not the bird I was referring to above but in reference to eating local wildlife this is what we tell tourists.

How to cook a NZ Pukeko.

1/ First catch you Pukeko
2/ Put in pot with herbs, garlic, salt & pepper
3/ Simmer for 6 hours
4/ Throw away the bird and eat the brick.
