Any noon demos tomorrow? My family would like to come out and watch. Also, what time will the night flying start? Dusk, I presume?

I had an awesome time Friday and Saturday. I'll definitely have to stop by a couple of Saturdays and fly with you guys again before I head back up to frigid NW Indiana.

Thanks enahs we were really glad you as well as all our old and new friends could be there. Like we said, you're welcome to stop out for a visit anytime.

For everyone who came out and shared the weekend with us, Thank You for another successful FUN funfly. We can't do it without all of you.

If you had fun, tell your friends about it and if you didn't please please take the time to PM me here with the problems so we can make sure they don't happen again (please note we have no control over crashing ).

If anybody has pictures that you can/will share we'd love to see them all and they will find a place of honor on our club website. Again, just PM me (Ralphw) here and I'll give you my email addy if you have pics to share.

One final note from all of us at Space City...mark your calendars for next year June 4th through the 6th (tentative date) and keep an eye on the event threads for more details later this year.

Also, SPECIAL THANKS to Mark Pyro Conroy, Doug (Fly Huge) and Dale for the night flying and entertainment that you guys provide every year!!

Come See Us Again,
The Space City RC crew (Ty, John and me Ralph)

Had a great time
Thanks to all that made this event happen. I had a great time. There was great weather, good conversation, good food with great people. I even provided a little entertainement for everyone with the first crash Saturday . I want to take time to mention a good guy who deserves a (good guy award). It goes to Jerry Kerwin. The story starts by me having a starter go on the fritz last week,so I had to borrow everyones starter to stay flying(including Jerry's)at this event. Next, there was a starter in the pilot drawing(did I mention they had some very good ones)and Jerry won the starter. It was a NIP Dynatron from Sullivan. Jerry, out of the goodness of his heart, gave me the starter, which just proves there are some of the best people in this hobby and Jerry is for sure one of them. Thanks again Jerry,I owe you bud.

To all that missed it,make sure to put this on your calender for next year, you'll be glad you did.

Untill next year,Kyle. I'll try to keep mine out of the dirt next time.

Dont walk in my footsteps----I think I stepped in something!!!!

Many THANKS!!!!
To all who flew or just came to visit and watch, thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to have an annual event that we enjoy so much! I had a wonderful time seeing so many old friends and making new ones. Our hobby is truly rich with a lot of great folks!

I can never thank our friends from Houston Sport Flyers enough for supporting this funfly and for putting on our night fly / fireworks exhibition. Mark, Doug, Dale, etc..., and the fearless ground crew, gave us a great nightshow and a lot of laughs once again.

Many thanks also to John Holmes (Larry's Hobbies), Ron Lund (Ron's Heliproz South), Heliproz, Horizon Hobby and Microfasteners for all the great pilot giveaways.

We had 38 pilots, few crashes (I too would hate to be one of the "few" crashes) and plenty of flying. The Drag Race and Auto Contests produced a lot of fun and laughs as always--results were: Mike Goza won the Open Class Drag Race with his electron gulping Ion; Mark Conroy won the 450-500 Electric Class; Nathan Spencer won the Pro-Class Auto contest and Dale Furneaux won the Expert-Class Auto Contest. And nobody really broke anything in the process!

Once again, thanks to all who helped make this funfly a safe, great weekend of flying and to others whose names I've probably overlooked.

Come fly with us again next year, June 4-6 (tentative) and we hope to have more information about next year's event soon!

Sincerely,

Ty

ps: Kyle, hope the 700 comes back to life soon--I think you just scared it to death!

If it was a large camera (shoulder carry) then that was Scott, Ill give him a call and help edit some video (I need to put some video together myself).
Also, SPECIAL THANKS to Mark Pyro Conroy, Doug (Fly Huge) and Dale for the night flying and entertainment that you guys provide every year!!
Next year I'll try not to auto during the night fly Darn ground was closer than I thought It was pretty tough for night flying due to the full moon, but I think everyone did a stellar job.

I had an absolute blast, there was some serious competition during the auto contest and drag races. Nathan, Mark C, and Ron have some serious skills when it comes to Autos.

If you missed this one, make sure you mark it on your calendar for next year, it is a must to attend!!!

Thanks Space City for a great and fun weekend.

Dale
