Just wondering what others are getting from their 1210i. It is rated for 180watt output.

I am charging 10s stick packs and the best it will give me is 4amps. This drops off as the pack voltage increases (starts at 37 to 38volts). That's only 150watts. 70 minute charge time is a bit of a pain. I would like to hear if others are getting the same.

Regards

Fergus

I know nothing about that charger but some will only output at full wattage if the input voltage is high enough. By that I mean maybe your charger is limited to 150W with a 12V input. If you were to input say 15V, maybe you could get the whole 180W out.

If you are looking for a charger that will beat that then you have a hard search in front of you. Some like The Cellpro 10S will output 250w but that only gets you to a charge rate of just over 6A. I know this would require different batteries but having a pair of 5s packs and pair of chargers would speed things up dramatically. Then you could charge 1 pack (a pair of 5s packs) quickly while you are flying or charge 2 packs slowly at the end of the day.

thanks Chris. I am at 15volts input which is the max. I am looking into a cellpro as an option. The 1210i is a great charger i just wish i could get the rated output.

I only have 10s sticks in my logo 600s. I don't like the large overhang outside the frames on one pack if using two 5s in series on that machine.

I understand but if it allowed you to fly them every 30min, would that make it worth it?

I here ya, i have 2 1210i chargers and charge 10S sticks, it takes about 70min. I have 4200MAH 10S sticks and also some 10S 4500MAH 30C sticks coming!
Charges at about 4.05amps then drops to around 3.7A as the voltage goes up!
When i had my duo i could charge at 1.5C on 6S 5000MAH packs.
These days i would not hesistate to do 2C, now just give me a charger that will do it for 10S sticks!!!!
