I am trying to figure out which Beam kit to buy. I am currently flying a CX2 and want to upgrade to a Beam 450. I'm looking for longest runtimes to build my flying skills. The other constraint is that I have a new DX7 MicroLite w/DS285 and AR6100 sitting a box waiting for the new Beam and I would like to use as many of the servos as possible. Can someone tell me which kit would serve me best?
1. BEAM 450 E4 W/ALIGN 3550 MOTOR/35A ESC/THP 2100 PACK/JRPF300H SERVO SET
2. BEAM 450 E4 W/MOTOR/ESC/2100 PACKALIGN 3550 MOTOR/35A ESC
THP 2100 PACK
3. BEAM E4 w/Scorpion 6 Motor/55A ESC
Which would be the best value and the best fit for my needs as a beginner?
Thank you!

Thoughts on Gyro and servo?
Thanks much. I also need to decide on a Gyro and Servo. Dealer recommended S9257 and a GY401. I later found a Hitec combo set (HG-5000/HSG-5083M) for less $. What would one gyro/servo setup yield vs. the other? Thank you, Thank you!

That's a hard call both setups works fine. You will find more help with the GY-401 than the GH-5000(setup help). You can't go wrong with either one.

BTW, Welcome to RunRyder.

The Gy401 is much easier to setup. If you are new to setting up a gyro, the Hitec one can be tricky as the heli needs to be setup in drift free hover is rate mode. I personally use the GY401/9257 and it is great. Very easy to setup and locks in very well. I can do high speed piros and it will stop on a dime. When setup correctly, the Hitec is good too, but some have complained about the piro rate being slower than desired. Either one will be great. If you go with the Hitec, there is a good video on setup on another site (PM Sent).

Anyways best of luck and feel free to PM me if you need any help.
