What flybar ratio are you guys running on the Vibe 90 for 3D? I am using regular stubz paddles and Radix 710 sb's. I am not grip-flipped and I have +/- 11 degrees. Should I start out at the .7 to 1 ratio and later try the 1 to 1 flybar ratio? I havent flown it yet but I am getting close. Any tips on head setup would be appreciated. BTW, I will be more then likely running a 1800/1900 HS.

EDIT: The flybar is aproximatly 600mm. It is l-o-n-g!!!!

FB Ratio
Most guys are running the inside (.7:1) holes on the see-saw for 3D as it makes the cyclic faster. If you search "flybar ratio" you'll find lengthy threads by FAI type people that explain all the effects of changing flybar ratios (it can get complicated). In short, adding flybar (outside holes on the Vibe) will make the cyclic a little slower, the heli will be more stable in a hover and stationary 3D stuff, and it will be more likely to get "pitchy" in fast forward flight with lighter paddles. Less flybar (inside holes) will yield faster cyclic, less "pitchyness" in fast forward flight, and become less stable in a hover/stationary 3D.

At least that's what I've found while running light blades and paddles on the Vibe. I'm running 710SBs and the big stubs w/ the weights most of the way in.

Thanks for the reply. I have 710sb's with regular stubz, no weights. I talked to Scott Gray at Toledo this weekend about this. I need to go down to a 500-520mm flybar at the longest and then the rest of my setup is good for 3D. He agrees that I want to use the .7 to 1 flybar ratio but I need to ditch the long a$$ flybar.

Tanks again
