"H" is the new Helicopter model?...I think it means fan vs. non fanned
Here's the phsical difference though

First is your Pic HilliHelli

which is the NON "H" Version

and then my pics...Which is the "H" Version in my trex 500

As you can see...the "H" Version is literally more than TWICE the physical size of the NON "H" one

Yeah, you'd definately need that base plate, especially with some of the landings I've seen you do!

FYI, Neu has made a "new" version of the 1905 just for the Trex 500, it's the 1706/1.5y.

It's possible. 1905 is a slightly higher kv. I have a friend that has one and it IS more powerful but he's using 3300 packs and I'm not sure what pinion he has, so I haven't really been able to suss out whether it IS more powerful or if it's the setup.

However, I'm sure the power comes at an expense of flight time. I am running an 18 tooth pinion and getting 5+ minutes of lite to medium 3D, fyi.

My Setup...
Here's a better pic of mine with the 1905H/1.5y...

As you will see...it's a MONSTER!

It definitely outperforms the Scorpion 1400kv...I have been flying mine back to back on a trex 500 with a 1400kv scorpion...so I can accurately make the comparison

OK, that all makes sense. I think the 1905 probably IS the motor for killer power, however, I think you need to go with the bigger packs or suffer 4 minute flight times on 2500mah packs.

On the other hand you could probably get there with the 1706 by upping the pinion to a 19 or 20 tooth. I haven't tried that though. I like the 5 minute flight times with pretty decent power I'm getting at this stage of my flying abilities. It's by no means a slouch.
