I have been flying a Vigor CS for the past 3 years. Last week I purchased one of the old Vibe 90 3D from Heliproz. They had a sale on the old model for $649. Couldn't pass up the price. This will be my first 90 size, as I have a OS 61 WC in my Vigor CS. I am wondering if I should have now gone with the T-Rex 700N instead. Also any recommendations on engines. OS 91HZ pumped or non-pumped, YS 91 SR?

Any opinions?

I would go with the Vibe 90 and the YS 91 SR becuase it is a great engine and it is cheaper then the OS HZ's.

i was thinking about buying a v90 3d as well for that price. are the prices on the spares expected to drop as well for the older model?

Not sure about prices on spare parts. Horizon Hobbies is still selling the old Vibe for $899 and Heliproz has it for $679.

You are going to love your new Vibe, it flys so lite and respond so fast !

YS is a great option.

If you are concern for spare parts prices, but a second kit at 679, you can not beat it.

Im going back and fourth with the 700 and vibe 90 as well. Im wanting something that I dont have to worry about as much and a lower crash cost would help that. Probably going to go the flybarless route as well. The prices for the vibe 90 parts are considerably higher than the 700. Is the quality that much better or is it just because its a JR product? I just dont want something that every time you crash it its 400-500 dollars.

I owned a Vibe 50 and it was by far better quality than any other the other 50 size helis around. Is it the same case with the 90? how does the weight compare between the 2? Anyone running a FBL head on the vibe 90?

I'm sitting here trying to figure out JR's pricing. I have a Vibe 50 and love it. The parts prices are very reasonable. For example, a new swash is $35-$40. That's awesome.

I was looking at the Vibe 90 swash price. Looks the same except anodized. $150. What is with that? It can't be THAT different.

Hi guys,

I've only been in the hobby for less than a year. Based on your experience, when will JR stop making spare parts for their discontinued helis?

Regards,

@gorgin4325: After about ten Years...

@gkdrcflyer: I would buy a Vibe 90, bcause the Heli has much better quality, tracks better and is about as light as the 700N. My Vibe 90 has 4262 grams without main blades and fuel...
For the bucks you spend more on the Vibe 90, you get a much better Heli.

I would also take the Yamada SR, it has more grunt than a O.S. and it's lighter and easier to adjust.

If you buy a Vibe 90 build it carefully and take your time, balance everything. It is a nice heli but needs to be built properly.

You flip the grips upside down and then your swash moves up for negative pitch and down for positive pitch. Per CY it has to do with inertia in the swashplate and it giving the heli more "pop"
