ill tell ya, the Microheli qnc 450 rotor head is a smooth running piece of equipment, but DAMN, could they have found softer aluminum to make it out of???i mean, you look at it wrong and it bends!
i had to replace one this spring, and the replacement was bent on the FIRST FLIGHT! AAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGggggg!!!!!!!
the canopy on my Hoss X4E bound on the servo link to the swash, i had the bird in a two foot hover, and it sloooowly started to creep over! no matter what i did, it was tipping. so when i realised it was gone, i hit throttle hold and it decked. the carbon blades both broke.....shoot.
so, i gave her a little spin, and sure enough the head wobbled, thinking its just a mainshaft, i check it out.... turns out the spindle, and mainshaft are dead on straight.... so its the flippin' hub.
THEY ARE TOO SOFT!!!!!
well, instead of dinking around, trying to straighten it, i just ordered another. what the hell.
PLEASE MICROHELI, get harder product to make them out of!
Rant over, and out!!
