How long is everybody getting on a tank of fuel in there vibe 50 (os hyper) I only seem to be getting about 6 1/2 minutes before I need to Land (about 1/5 of a tank left). Was wondering if maybe im too rich, sometimes it hard to tell with 30% nitro

Man andy on what motor. My OS hyper in my second vibe i barley scrape out 5 minutes and thats no header tank. I havent timed my vibe with the YS in it but that one also has a header tank. I should do that the next time out. Running CY 30%

Trying not to put them in the dirt.

OS Hyper and Magnum 30%, 8 minutes with about 1/4" in the bottom at the end of the 8 minutes.

I recently added a header tank and am now over 9 minutes with a full header tank at the end of the 9 minutes.

I am a Heli addict!!!

I am supprised to hear that. That is one short run time for a nitro. You must be runnning..... rich or a fuel leak somewhere?

OR Some un-Godly high head speeds. People should be posting their headspeed becuase that equates to engine RPM which directly has a effect on fuel consumption.

Any body running a OS Hyper really has no reason to go past 2000 head speed because that is 17400 on the engine and that is just past peak power so it bogs right into the peak power at 17000. Spinning faster just kills bearings in the engine and burns more fuel.

10+ minutes

OS50 with 2oz header tank, Windcat 30%, mild 3D, headspeed probably around 1900. High head speeds really sap the juice.

I guess i am still real rich, but I am close to sea level and run about 1 1/4 turn out on high and stock setting on the low speed, 1950 on the head, engin seems to be lasting however, over 10 galons through her!

Well mines set on the Multigov Pro for 1950 norm.. 2050 idle 1. and 2100 idle 2.. so I'm running some higher headspeeds and still get longer flight times.

10 + min on my YS50 - no header tank, 30% Wildcat normal flying, mild 3D.

My TT53 in my T600 was REAL thirsty, only half the flying time on a tank, good reason to get rid of it AND the T600!

8:30

Sea level
20% nitro
2050 rpm
MGP set at 116C
YS50

Tank dry at the end.

I used to have the timer set to 9:00 but occasionally when I trashed the machine harder, I would do a nice unplanned auto at the end.

Its bigger than the 600Ns... Not sure but I think its in the 400cc zone. Remember that the 600N volume is miscalculated. Somebody filled the tank and measured and it gave well under 400cc (360 or so, I can't remember for sure)
