T-REX 450 › Help - Metal tail on carbon boom is twisting under load!

Ok so I have a SE V1 tail on a carbon boom, every time i put it in idle up it twist the tail on me! I have tightened the hell out of it and still does it. Any suggestions?

Did you put tape around the boom where the mounts clamp onto it? This adds a better grip.

I put a thin coat of CA on the boom, let it dry, install tail ass. & no more twist!!

What goes up must come down,Just why so damn HARD??

ca on carbon boom not recommended..

beauty of using a carbon boom (my experience) is they can bend to a certain extent during impact but retain the straightness afterwards

ca will make them brittle hence will crack during a crash..

drill a small hole rather and put a dowel or screw to stop the twisting

I ended up puttin 2-3 drops of med ca and sliding it on. it holds fine now. Hope it doesnt hurt it!

I've been sealing carbon with CA for years & never had an issue yet. I quess if your worried about it, you could thin some epoxy & use that.
