Hi guys! I'm getting ready to buy another laptop. It's a HP dv6t.
What processor to get? dual core or core 2 duo? It will only have the Intel 4500MHD graphics card..4g ram 250 g hard drive. Thats all I can really afford

it looks like it only comes with Intel core 2 duo.
You buying it online or locally? Might get more bang for your buck, if you buy it from hp.com. You get to customized it , and instead of paying
tax, just use that to upgrade the components.

I was buying it online from HP. I got the vista 64 upgrade, 4g ram, and 250g hard drive. Plus a free printer for $649. But they do collect tax I thought I saw where you could sellect the processor.. Could get the g60t for less..

I hate taxes!!

I'm just wondering about the graphics card. The onboard Intel graphics probably won't cut it for the simulator. Might get choppy.

looks like the card you have right now is using shared memoryGeForce 6150 G-card.
if you upgrade to one with a dedicated, that will definitely help out a bit.
