I assembled my 600n with the 2 frames swapped. The only difference I noticed on the frame was the ball bearing fitting through which the elevator and cyclic bellcranks get attached. Everything seems to work OK in my case...Does it really matter? Should I strip the whole thing up and swap the sides?

thanks

Anurag

There are a left and a right side frames. Looks like you will have to strip it down and switch them around.

Yep apart from the bearing they are the same, you are not the first to get them the wrong way around, I had a guy bring a 700 into the shop for us to set up and we ended up spending over half the day rebuilding the dam thing.

It will be good practice for you

Yes apart from the bearing they are identical. I have noticed, that even with my frame swapped, the elevator and bellcrank control rod works perfectly... There is no play on any side. Wonder what I am missing here?

I think you'd risk the bearing falling out. In the proper orientation, the bearing flange is on the outside and held in place by the arms. With that flipped around, the bearing may have an opportunity to become displaced inside the frame, resulting in a badly handling helicopter.

Right that makes sense. Does the manual specifically mention anything about left /right frames? Guess I missed that part out completely. Back to re-building the heli..and wasting 2-3 hours.

I don't think the manual actually says anything about it. You just gotta look at the picture carefully and you'll see the difference.
