WOOOOO Folks!
Please lets calm this tread down a bit.
One must remember that we are in this thing to have fun.
Now for the fun.
VooDooX for some silly reason likes the ship he flys.
He has shown that likes to build and fly.
That is a good thing.
I laugh at your bio. When VooDooX was born, myself and a group of other Phd's from Stanford and Cal already put the valley on the map. When VooDooX first pooped in his pants. We had Several semiconductor giants on the map. When VooDooX had his first chest hair. Our group was already gone and dealing with things like the B1 bomber skunk works project.
Let him be folks, and understand that this boy has nothing but a pocket full of money and no respect (did not know Burger King paid that much) for the "real smart" group of folks that started it all.
Wipe your nose and clean your pants VooDooX
....enjoy your drive to work on the 101 and remember that when I was your age. The roads you drive on now, was just a bunch of trees. Untill one day we waved our hand and it was born. You might want to read a good book about how your job was created. "Dealers of Lighting"
We had a blast!
Cheers and good flying.

Flying the sim at work, huh??!!
Good thing you don't have a real job, they tend to fire people for that. Sure brings to light why most companies are sending work abroad. It might help your job stability to do what your actually paid for. I love this generation, all kinds of education, but no common sense. Got a problem, just throw money at it and it will fix itself. Come work with me kid,I will show you a real job. You better be sharp though and curb the talk or the fellas may take an extra interest in you.
Now normally I wouldn't say to much to somebody with your level of smug, holier than thou attitude, but your work ethic(which you brought up, I might add) is one of the main reasons this country is in so much trouble. Honest pay for a honest days work, sounds like your screwing your employer, and the rest of us in the long run.
Seniors huh? Just because we have done our time? At least we knew what it took to garner employer loyalty. You have a long road ahead of you and to be honest maybe you had just better save your money for your retirement now while you still have the chance. You will never know what you've lost once an older person is gone. You see your generation just can't seem to get your head around that, and by the time they do it will be to late. The best thing you could do is lose the world by the ass attitude and try and learn from the hundreds if not thousands of years of experience that reside here. Your not gonna sway anybody with an "I want attention even if it's bad" attitude. Most of us have raised kids here and we've seen this act before.

USNAviationjay,

Overall in reviewing your repsonses you're a pretty clear headed thinker. I also know you've oft said you hate plastic, but there are really considerations where it's just a better material.

Moreover, the reason all models fly pretty well these days are related to the very dynamics affecting flight, which are fairly well understood by all designers. E.g. any 50 with the same main rotor RPM, the same amount of cyclic and collective pitch, the same flybar paddles, and flybar ratio, ditto equipment like engine, radio, etc. and which masses similarly are going to be pretty similar in the air. E.g. they all fly pretty well.

So we get to a philosophy of materials used to accomplish the task, either composite (G10/carbon plate) and blocks, or injection-molded engineering polymers. Both work well and there are advantages, which can be debated ad naseum - just like Ford vs. Chevy.

Nevertheless, when we came up with our helicopter, like all designers, we're balancing many factors to include; performance, durability, ease of assembly/repair, and price.

Our product is pretty well thought out. Moreover, it's got innovative features not found in others. Plus, is versatile in accepting big engines, e.g. it's a lot of fun. Best of all, it's durable and inexpensive. Is it perfect?

Of course not . . . only God is perfect! That said, we do provide support I would stack up against anybody else! Ask my customers. Moreover, we're stateside (right here in Florida, e.g. as close as a phone call), are always willing to listen to ways to improve it and when you want to speak to the boss I'm generally easy to find.

Without starting a war, the product is a very good solution for many folks. What's the best part? By and large its reliable, e.g. you don't find folks complaining about major issues - just look back through our forum and you'll see this is pretty much true.

I invite you to contact me via PM, or off list to converse further.

Don't feed the TROLL. That pesky little BSer is still at it. A TROLL craves controversy, and attention anyway the TROLL can get it. Please ignore the TROLL completely, and likely he will look for his attention elsewhere. Poor little bugger .

OK Chris, quit yanking their chain! These are all good guys who will give you the shirt off their backs . . . you've had your fun.

Folks, I've been PMing recently with VooDooX and it turns out he's a pretty savvy young man, especially once you consider he's only been at this a few months. He is, however, something of a prankster and will pull your leg in delight if you let him. He's OK.

Yeah, it took e a while to figure it out, but I finally did. Quite a bit like the other long winded thread about the Pantera VS the Frenzy.

How can I soar with the Eagles when I work with turkeys??

True Power
True power isn't bought by money, force or position and it's not the fleeting kind that can be gained or lost over night. True power is the ability to influence somebody by your actions and attitudes in such a way as to have them still thinking about you long after you gone and have them wondering when your coming back. Thats power and influence, and it's also the explanation as to why this generation seems to not be able develope it. They want it now, don't have the time and won't make the effort.

I'm in a "frenzy" to get started on my first Pantera.

At least I finished removing the engine and electronics from the old Kalt today. And opened one of the Pentara boxes.

I should be able to get started tonight. The good news, is that much of the tedious stuff on the Pantera is already put together, so the build should go pretty fast. And it's getting an OS that is already broken in, so I should be in the air shortly, and ready for fun.

It's a Voodoo Chile.
