Yup, I was not racing anyone when I built any of mine, but I did have the NSP done in a day, it was a long day, and my first nitro, I had a little help setting up the throttle at the end, but we test flew it before dark. My 600CF took 2 long nights, about 6 hours each.

My buddy is very fast at building Align Helis, he has built 7 of them, and it takes him about 5 hours to get it ready for flight. It takes me about a week!

i've built 450s and 600s for friends. i built 2 450s back to back a couple of summers ago and actually timed myself. 12 hours on one and 12.5 on the other. but, that wasnt just slopping it together. that was going through all the "pre-assembled" stuff, checking fit, refitting, sizing the balls, getting the link geometry right, programming the radios, programming the esc, getting all the wiring cleaned up, eliminating all the interactions, setting cyclic pitches, getting the tail dialed in, and test flying.

i really don't think it *should* be done much faster than that as i really had no issues during the builds and was going as fast as i could without feeling rushed.

if it ain't broke, break it.

With all Honesty, as mentioned I take slightly over 2 hours, you dont have to believe me if you think it's an absurd claim but it is true

Depending on how you look at it, the life span of a star is just over 2 hours.

From box to flying in 2 hours i have to admit, i'm alittle skeptical unless you build these things for a living and are 110% proficent with every aspect.
Maybe you could plug it all together but to get a goooood clean setup and such would either require some godlike speed or lots and lots of specific tools (swash levelers, link measurment tools etc...).

I would be interested to talk about building procedure though mr,
PM and tell me all yr secrets heh

FAI pilots spend about 40 hours building a heli with the same number of parts. Then they spend another 20 hours installing the radio. Then they spend another 10 hours adjusting before the first flight. Bragging about how fast you can assemble a heli is like bragging that you can boink your wife in 60 seconds.

I'd don't quite agree. The FAI pilot I know builds alot faster than that. I think if you made him slow down to those speeds that it would kill him.

I could build one in 2 hours if I did a complete crappy job on it.

Suit yourselves, I wanted to share how I manage this but I doubt anyone would appreciate it judging from the sarcasm laced response, not my lost.No wonder you guys are loosing out to the others. You need to come down from your ponies from time to time to smell the grass.

You guys really need some growing up to do and understanding the phrase. I mentioned slightly two hours and NOT under 2 hours.

I havn't built a heli from scratch yet (will do on my next one) but isnt this time very much varient on how much effort you put into the wiring and finishing touches.

I mean if you spend the time covering each servo wire with protective coverings and making sure there are no loose or hanging wires you could spend allot longer than if you just did the basics to get her i the air.

I'm hoping to get a K3D next so will so how long it takes me to build that
