hey, yeh! I had my 12S trex for a year , ran all kinds of motors, 32-3 and a 17t pinion worked great, some videos in my gallery. never stripped a gear, but oneways , better get a few for stand by, and dont let HC fly it oneway last one flight I know! also , get some HFE frames and metal gear 9650 servos, HC couldnt believe the servos wouldnt stall out when he flew it, heres a picture of the basic layout of the HFX frames, also if you go with the HFX, dont use the 8717s, for some reason , Too fast , the reaction time was twice as slow as the 9650s, 9252s would be great in there though,

12s 3850s,

im using a 15t pinion, gives me about 2222HS

i really like the CC HV esc, i have the Kontronics too and they are great, but when a new firmware comes out all i do is upgrade it from home with my castel link, and it has alot more settings to play with.

Nice, I was thinking of going 14T at a straight 100% throttle. Does the Kontronics BEC still work ok @ 50v (12s) input?

Hi Richard,

it's very under rated and will run 15A continuous no problem. Just do a search.

Make sure you use the second BEC lead.

Second BEC lead is to distribute the power more evenly on the RX and carry the amps. If I recall a single servo lead is only rated at 3 amps. Personally I would always go higher to be safe and go for the 80HV.

What flight times are you getting out of the two 3300's? How long would you get out of a pair of...say...6S 2600's? I have a bunch of those for my 500 and it would be nice to pair them up for a 12S Trex 600.

im getting 6.5 min mild 3d, using a 15t pinion, im going to stretch this heli into a 700, running 710 blades, might have to drop the headspeed to 1900 rpms. i figured a 13t pinion should give me about 1900 rpm
