Pantera Rules!!!
OK- I am about to piss on the parade of vibe fans so I apologize in advance! I have flown the Vibe 50 recently and it is a great flying heli, BUT it does not measure up in all around capability vs price with the Panteras I own. If it were a measurable movement it may react .05 faster on cyclic in some moves but it was a PITA once you got it into an inverted move or into a ail roll mostly.( mainly the crack roll- man it was everywhere). My favorite Pantera has very similar servos and the same motor and gyro as this vibe so it was not equipment. I am curious to see what the first crash will cost! this thread has been brought to you by my 2 cents. Thanks for reading.

Brian

Oh and WTH- a heli priced where the Vibe is coming with a plain white canopy? Makes it even harder to tell apart from those 3D Frenzy's!

I meant to do that!!!

pantera. Inexpensive, inexpensive parts, and flies very well. Great support. Great options. Check it out.

have you ever even looked into a Pantera? their built like tanks yet are as agile as anything out there (no im not a rep,I dont even have a Pantera)...bclong211 gave you his opinion, Respect it. And look into the Pantera a little before you open your mouth.

Just because Vibes cost twice as much and are from a bigger company doesnt mean they are a BETTER heli.

Yea....Vibe 50 is the best, my 600 sucks. Whatever you do don't buy one. Can you belive I have had to replace my glow plug and clunk line? I mean, the quality is horrendous, the thing barely even flies. It does make a great paper weight though.
I didn't say the TRex is poor quality. I actually liked the quality of the head. I just couldn't get it to FLY right. Mine is the 600E, so the lighter weight compounds problems with how the heli tracks. With anything near fast paddles/blades it would start leaning right when I got it fast. It also needed way high headspeed to flip-roll like I wanted, but this was hard on the batteries.

I flew both (Rex and Vibe) side-by-side... a flight on one followed by a flight on the other... for months. I finally had to do something to fix the Rex. I still have it... just with a different head. I think the 600E is a great electric platform... just needs mods to compare. If you aren't 3Ding, then it won't matter. I like REALLY fast cyclics and REALLY precise characterisitcs... maybe it's because I'm used to the precision offered by 35% and 40% IMAC aircraft... the Vibe delivers on these.

I will put my 2¢

I can only compare a Vibe 50 to a EVO 50. As these are the ony two 50's I have had. I flew the Evo for yrs. Then crash and decided it was time for a new bird.

After hearing on parts on the 600n wearing out premature. I chose the Vibe 50. To me it is a heli for weekend warrior. Charge up fri. night fly the weekend and wipe it down clean. Repeat next weekend.

No replacing parts that wear out or tinkering around to get it flying right.

Vibe 50 w/curtis mains, tail and paddles. It rocks. You get that locked in feeling when flying, low maintenance. This is my Heli for the next 5 or so yrs.

I get a little ahead of myself but you cant argue that MANY if not MOST pilots would choose the vibe over the pantera simply for looks. The Pantera is IMO one of the most solid .50's on the market and still agile, while not as "pretty" as the vibe it does the same junk at half the cost..acctually with the recent sale you could get 2 Panteras for $300! which means you could of had 4 of them for the price of a vibe.

That looks better. I was never a big fan of over-slung flybars.. which happens to be a rappy trademark. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't the Pantera's frame mainly composed of plastic? I'm asking because I'm wondering if there is any drawbacks in that design. I hate too much plastic but thats besides the point. I've owned a Century Swift long ago and just didn't like the all plastic design eventhough it flew great. But again, thats just me. If they incorporate and put alluminum in all the right spots, then we're talking.

10 - 1 the TZ will have a exploding tail box issue as it uses the same tail box as the Gohbee. Unless they fix the design (which they havent as of the Align Comp) they are already cracking.

I own both the 600N and the Vibe - No contest, the Vibe is a nicer machine and flys much better!
