So it seems like everyone says that the Vibe 50 is the best 50. Does everyone agree with that? If so, why? If not, why? Let's not comment on what is coming out since nobody knows first hand...only what's out there.

I'm sure one of my buds flys this machine, and has also stated that this model is on a killer sale right now. So yes, jump aboard!!!

This is all second hand info, as I have no experience with this exact model, but do have great friends, that are some kick butt pilots, so I listen......Somtimes

Coming in with the Esky 3D-Lama-v9 50 nitro. Pretty sure the kit is $89 with free shipping. They even throw in a 4in1 and 2s1p lipo that they suggest to use.

Serious answer is any 50 is going to do you. If you are having failures or dumb thumbs, a cheap and available one is a suggestion!

No dumb thumbs and the flying is good? You already know what you want!

I have flown the vibe 50 a couple times, felt great, tracked awesome. Didn't beat on it too bad as his motor was a bit tired, and it was a week old.

Just... .Have... FUN!

A Vibe 50 or Rex 600N are imo the best mainstream 50s you can get today(the N5 will be a nice one too)IMO. I liked the Vibe 50 better because the quality was much better, torque tube was sweet, bearings are great quality and after gallons of fuel bearings were still smooth versus my Rex 600N bearings which were notchy and needing replacement. Cons would be a tad heavy to the competition and the "vibe"ration from the engine alignment was annoying, would line up the engine perfect(or as close to perfect) and the vibration would go away but then come back after a few flights of hard 3D.

The 600N is great in the sport model form with belt drive for simplicity(still can do any 3D moves with a belt), not bank breaking G-10 frames(although I recommend 2mm G10 aftermarket frames for much better rigidity and 3d capability) and parts are pretty cheap and they're everywhere available. I like the plastic canopy personally for its cost($25), durability and better crash protection it offers the frames instead of fiberglass which kinda disintegrates upon impact. Also, kit cost is a few hundred cheaper than the Vibe so in the event of total destruction, it hurts a little less to replace.

I've tried em both and both had their pluses and minuses and as usual, I tend to go against the flow and try something different. So, now I have a Xero G that is slowly becoming my Fuze 50, its getting a new 600N head on it and I'm currently designing my CCPM system, although just might end up going to the Kalt arrangement I had on my Fuze 90. Problem with the Xero G arrangement(mind you its not the new rush model) is that in order to get full pitch and keep full throws, the elevator servo bellcrank binds and and has all sorts of interaction as the throws at that extreme are not the same because the other two servos are direct connections to the swashplate, not a very good arrangement.

Done. lol

Phil, are you a betting man? Because if you were, I would bet on Blue..............Hirobo Blue as in the SDX.

You might consider waiting just a few weeks for the new ones to hit the stores.

I would LOVE to fly a Vibe 50 just to see what it's like. The weight of it doesn't bother me as it seems to have plenty of POP anyway, plus it looks very sexy too. We have a pilot at our field who has just gotten a Vibe so I may yet get to fly one.

Of the 50's I have owned/flown the K3D is fast becoming my personal favourite. No Heli is perfect but it flies so axially and solid it's amazing.

As stated, most modern 50's are more capable than the vast majority of the pilots out there.

I have a Vibe 50, It is a extremely nice heli in all aspects. In my opinion, it is a step above everything else in the class on all aspects. Sure, they weight in just a tad more then the competition BUT you can not tell in flight.

Awesome helicopter. Good parts prices for very high quality parts. Just build it and fly it, no upgrades, nothing wears out, ZERO slop anywhere. You would be very hapy with a vibe 50.
