In the beginning I tried to give this guy the benefit of doubt, even though he is not qualified to do the job. But now, after all that he has done, I'm convinced he is on the side of the Muslims, and actually trying to distroy this country from within. No one would make the decisions he has made except someone trying to distroy this country.

The government cannot give you anything without first taking it from someone else.

I wonder why he did not fire the head of the UAW. He is part of this.

Oh yeah, I forgot. The Dems love the unions.

I think OB is acutely aware that the UAW membership elected the UAW President and he doesn't want them all against the Dems. As to the CEO firing or holding out the money forcing the BofD to can him, that was easy. It may also be a way of telling the UAW that they are going to have to give serious concessions. The UAW may think that this is going to be just another contract negotiation, but if they are smart, they will get serious before Chapter 11 paragraph 1112 happens.

hey
not gonna lie, i voted for Obama. I guess i didn't read too much into his policies and agendas during campaigning, also not believing the people who called him a socialist...

i still don't think he's a socialist, because it is too early to tell, especially with the big problems this country faces...

however, what he did with GM & Chrysler downright scares me

we'll see

Thanks

Look at the UK before Maggie Thatcher, The UK had bailed out almost every sector in the private industry and therefore politicized the Private business sector and the Lending institutes. When Government can call for the resignation of the CEO of a Privately held company like GM, They can also appoint who serves on the board. The Board of GM will look like the Board of MoveOn.Org in no time and what comes out of GM will be vehicles nobody wants and Labor deals that will lead to GM being nothing less than just another social program that produces nothing, just more dependency on the Government.

The simple truth here is this. The Government manufactures nothing, They produce nothing, it simply redistributes what it confiscates from the producers and gives what they take to the non producers. The day when this country stops rewarding excellence is the day excellence no longer exist.

Obama and those who are pulling his strings want nothing more than to take over all aspects of Capitalism, From the lending institutes, Financial markets, to big business, and once they do, all of them will be politicized and we will have stuffed shirts in Wash DC dictating who will get loans and who will not, based on who is in power. We are on a very rapid pace on a very dangerous path toward Socialism and I fear for my Country

God Help Us

What happened with the banking industry and now GM and Chrysler IS the very definition of Socialism. If you're scared now just wait. We are only in the first 100 days. This guy is starting with Socialism, who knows where we end up.

WTH does he have to do with GM's capability of survival in a competitive market?

Let me guess,it's the unions that have caused GM too mismanage their company because they were forced into paying a skilled laborer for his or her daily job duties.

Are you serious? Don't tell me you can't figure that one out. You must have voted for Obama! No unions and the auto companies would be just fine. They are vampires and have sucked the car industry blood dry!

I can't believe you didn't figure that one out. Give me a break...

Good question. Here is the answer:

Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone. They gave $4.5 million to the Obama campaign.

Be sure and don't tell anyone.

Uncompetitive wages, healthcare costs, and retirement costs. Are they solely responsible no, GM gave in. Only through extortion and intimidation though. Until the UAW comes back to reality they will remain to be uncompetitive and those precious jobs will go bye bye when Chrysler and GM file bankruptcy and end up liquidated because they arent worth saving.
paying a skilled laborer for his or her daily job duties.
Case in point. Since when does the ability to thread a bolt and pull the trigger on an air wrench constitute skilled labor??

Ever since the union said it was.

If unions are to survive, I would like to see laws in place to prevent them from using member dues for political contributions. Or, strictly forbidding them from political contributions altogether.

I kind of agree. Though I think it should be the union membership that stands up and says it and changes their charter. Of course most of these guys are under the same spell by the union thugs that most of the country is right now from the Dalai 'Bama.

GM is in the shape its because of BAD leadership. How can ANY Co expect their employees to take pay cuts when the Execs are still lining their pockets and showin up in DC ALL in private corporate jets. Its called LEAD BY EXAMPLE. Another reason is their cars SUK. They are FUGLY, all except the tahoe and suburban. THey are over=priced gas guzzling vehicles that is not giving the public what it wants.

Dont blame the body when the head is corupt.

And no I did not vote for BHO
