surprised you can't find anything on spartan support site

http://www.spartan-rc.com/resources....php?category=2

topics 16/17 may help. also more topics in above post from barney for same thing.

can you plug a servo into the channel your gain is on and flick the switch, does the servo move? that should help depending on the answer to find the problem.

cheers

done it

only took me 2 hours to do it, i was getting a little bit annoyed but got there eventually,
i carried on with the binding with the rudder over and got it eventually,

i do find it strange how i struggled to got into the servo select but once passed that it went onto the setup routine easy

does the pc link bypass all that and just change it on a menu on the screen, if so i will get the link cable

the pc does bypass it all. the other good news is the latest firmware update you plug a bind plug in and do the setup. this is a problem with spektrum only as sometimes the rx is bound before the TX so you can flick till your hearts content but it won't do sod all. hence you bind with rudder over for older firmwares.

as i said that is now done away with if you use a bind plug, i use futaba but i prefer the bind plug method myself now and use that only now.

Cool..glad you got there.

The Flashlink allows you to update the Gyro to the latest firmware/alter Gyro settings + select Servo types etc.

It can also be used to show the 'True' Gyro gain. Why you may well ask?.. Different Radio brands and the way we opt to control a Gyro can give differing %'s in the TX. The Gyro editor tells you what % the Gyro is seeing..

IMHO, Yes its worth getting though not essential.
