the SB20 is the pipe that is designed for the HZ. I have it on my 700 and I cant imagine it making any more power as it is already unboggable.

What is this claim based on? Did you dyno the motor with both pipes?

This claim is based on my opinion after trying both pipes. The 20 works fine but the 18 works better.

Ahh read above.

Why don't you do what I always do and try both of them and compare, then you can tell us why it's better.

Read what above? Simply stating it is better means nothing. Better is all relative! If your going to make a claim that it is better, back it up with documentation or at least clarify why!
The 18 makes more power
How? where? and when do you notice the power? I am not trying to bust your stones and am just asking for you to clarify why you like it better.

What is your flying style?

Thanks,

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for but I can tell you that the motor felt stronger and more in the sweet spot. All around, it felt better.

Tic tocs, better sustained power
Big sky loops and climb outs felt like it had more power
Engine sounded healthier
Engine felt like it was really on the pipe and in the sweet spot

It was just better!

As far as my flying style, I would say similar to Bobby Watt's style, a little bit of everything, but obviously not to his level.

I have been running the SB20's for several months now and they have been working very well. The 18 definetly works but I think overall power and midrange response are superior with the SB-20. The 20 is also a quieter pipe than the 18.

I respectfully disagree Mike. Have you tried them both?

No problem Sam.

Yes, I have tried them both extensivly. The 18 feels good as you stated, but I feel as though the 20 is a more well rounded choice when it comes to power, midrange and sound.

production variences maybe?
One might have a "factory" golden SB-18 and a kinda "dud" SB-20?
or vice versa. I know hatori is supposed to be the bomb, but with anything isn't there the chance you could get a "less than perfect" example effecting one's perception of the pipes?

Randy!!! I am the liquor
