allo I have a logo14 I want to know if someone is flying with a 6s. I allready fly with a 10s ... I think that the batteries are a bit expensive in 10s. My friend is flying in T-rex 600 in 6s and his flying is very well and I was wondering if I could do the same ... in 6s.
thank you

I've flown the Logo 14 on 6S with 550's and it flew very nicely. with 600's on 6S it had markedly shorter flight times and wasn't a 3D powerhouse but a great sport flier. On 8S it swings 600's nicely. That was last year with 20C Flightpower packs.

If you want to use 6S and 600mm blades you might need to use very large capacity packs like 4900-5000 mAh to balance the model properly. I found that I needed about a 750g brick pack to balance the model properly without sticking it way out in front. Brick packs are easier to find than stick packs. So, two 4S 3700 packs in series or a single 8S 3700 works beautifully. For me, 10S is overkill and doesn't increase my fun, only my fear of crashing and folding an expensive pack.

It's really a question of how you fly and how good your collective management is. Current 25-35C batteries deliver much more power than packs that were popular when the Logo 14 was the hot item. I think that long battery tray was origianlly designed around double stick NiMH C cells to give you some perspective.

Balances well with 5000 outrage, it hangs out in front but who cares, With right combo you'll get ballistic performance for 5-6mins at 2200 headspeed

Common sense may not be common after all

Two things I don't like about letting the pack hang out front; risk to the pack in a crash and the CF battery tray is kind of flexible. I wonder what that does over time to the solder joints in longer packs. I used a plywood stiffener board for long packs before I went to the brick style.

Mine is on 10s swinging 600mm mains its very light and fast.
the only thing with my setup is the mods i have had to do to make it handle the power and blades.
boom extenshion logo 20
mod 1 main gear and pinion
.07 mod tail drive gear and tail drive pinion.

Even now if i get too carryed away i can strip the mod 1.

I still love the 14 it flys really well with bags of power.
This is a video of my one taken last year, the heli capable of alot more than i will ever be able to do.

Watch at YouTube

as someone has allready said your flying style will be the decideing factor on the cell count.
if you want punch power go for the higher cell count.
I have never seen it run but 8s would probably be good with a suitable motor and esc combo as the 14 is quite light.
6s will work but its not going to be a 3D monster.
