main gear
dear all to be honest 0.7 module it is not mistake it dependent on torque can handle so main gear is wider than other heli 164 and for those who convert their kit to electrical they will suffer from this you now why ?because the gear mech is less due to use small pinion but I agrea the Align has poor quality and bad thing they are not care about it and this is will be open new opportunity for new manufacturers who will care about us

Hi johnsalary.

With the scuedo bearing block you replace the original bearing with a 8x19x6. This allows you to use a cut down Trex 500 Mainshaft. To prevent it dropping you pass the Jesus bolt through both mainshafts.

hope that explains the mod a little better.

Anyone know when, if ever, shops in the UK will get the -1 main gear? Anyone know why we haven't got it when it's available in other countries?
Is here http://quickcarbon.com/
But I thing you need the third bearing support as well.

Barney Ok is solution but on the kit you CAN NOT ask people to cut down some other heli part. The kit has to be plug and play. I mean insert the main shaft extension to already installed main shaft, drill holes for third bearing house, mount it and go fly.. 5 minutes work no more!
Anything else, is useless for public .....

I don't understand this, if there is a fault with align products, why don't third parties manufacturers do a little thinking and make some bucks? If Align won't do it themselves, why just not make it for them. I could careless if some of you think 'oh but align should do this/that instead of aftermarket people' are you seriously joking and whining about this? If its aftermarket 3rd bearing block that needs to be done, then GFORCE Heli, and QUK, ARE YOU WATCHING???

it is about 60mm the same width as the 700 frame, no spacers needed but you do need to change the bearing to one with an 8mm id
the shaft extention is made from an old (or new) 8mm main shaft about 30mm long, the bolt hole is then re-drilled to 4mm so that the 700 jesus bolt will hold it in position

you drill the 700 frame to bolt the sceadu 3rd bearing block to the frame

mine has been running like this now for 4 1/2 gallons with no problems as yet

after seeing the bearing block made and just pushed into place i looked to find an off the shelf part to fit the 700 and this is what i came up with
the bearing needed is 8x19x6
the orignal bearing in theholder is a 10x19x5 but i couldn't find an off the shelf bearing 5mm wide so i used the 6mm one, this causes no problem the bearing is just 1mm proud of the block

i will just add that no aftermarket company has anything to do with this mod
i have used QUK parts but you could also use Hirobo parts or any other upgrade sceadu 3rd bearing block to do this mod

and the mod only takes a short while to do with only a drill required
and a method of warming up the bearing block to remove the 10mm id bearing and fit the 8mm id bearing

Well Payne, congrats for clean description!! As we can see there has to be offset 50 percent off (5mm) to the front direction of house since there is no free space behind the fan shroud.
Finally teh only difference is one mm of width comparing to the QUK part number: SSD-02 Sceadu block + we need the precise 8 mm shaft extention.... Seems to be done enough for somebody who is able to come up with this tuning?

the width of the block is good for the frame, when fitted with no bolts it slid into place well
i never bothered to make a shaft on my lathe as i had an old 8mm mainshaft to hand
and the idea to use the 8mm mainshaft is so that anyone can do the mod with basic tools
if i wanted to i could have made a one off bearing housing and a stepped shaft, but went for the easy option

edit
i have just measured the 700 frame its width is 60.4 to 60.7 mm
a genuine hirobo sceadu 3rd bearing block is 60mm wide

So you want to say you have pushed the 8 mm old shaft inside the 7,9 mm T700 main shaft? I'm lost in this point. I just tried it and NO joy..

Strange that because I've used the same method and the 8mm shaft fits the 700 shaft perfect, I wonder if your jesus bolt has been over tightened and distorted the shaft.

I only like to fly gassed up

Here two pictures - thing all clear now Fixit main shaft of what heli please? The bearing hose MUST be 61 mm. Anyway, I believe and can imagine that the little flex on carbon sides is less then the movement caused by 3D performance..

a am using an 8mm shuttle shaft just pushed in with no modification
apart from the hole re-drill to 4mm and cut to length

and don't bother measuring that spacer
measure the frame where the frame has no tention it will be 60.7mm
and around anything that is bolted up it will be 60.4mm
yes the frame flexi's and speads out where nothing bolts to it

this mod fits just relook at the photo's

Well, there we are payne The shuttle shaft does NOT have 8 mm it have 7,95 and is milled on CNC round mill machine. This is the reason why you can push the shuttle shaft inside and why you can keep EXACT straight axis with the main T700 shaft.. Now is all clear THANK YOU!!

and with the shaft i used the end with the longest distance from the end of the shaft to the centre of the hole to give it more support inside the 700 shaft

I have done the block - anybody can copy it and can start the production. Want to really see where the problem is. 3rd bearing, wheels or Module?
