I'm curious to see what head speeds, pitch ranges, engines, nitro/oil content and gear ratios 3D NT owners are using to get the fastest forward speeds.

ok , i try speeding a bit lately since in germany they started a so called 'speedcup'
this is my setup;
three dee nt
os91 sz
hatori 700
maniac 703mm mainblades
stock k&s tailblades
tornado fuel ;18% oil , 15% nitro
pitch; +11 -11
headspeed ; idle 1 = 1700 idle2 = 1900 rpm

i tried , as advised in the nt manual , to fly with max headspeed with only 9 degrees pitch , but i dont think that tha goes faster then the normal pitch settings . awesome fast bird it certainly is :]

Hristo: I was not aware of an extended reverse running crankshaft available for the OS 90 SZ. Are you using the original OS 90 extended reverse crankshaft that came out from Henseleit back when the 3DNT was introduced, or has there been a newer version with the new timing for the newer OS engines? Or are you not using a reverse running crankshaft? Tom Retzinger

he tom
i am not running a reverse crank . i did buy the heli with a c spec with reverse crank , but i changed the heli to a normal rotating heli.
then i bought a os91 sz and a so called 'heim 'crank [8mm crank and 13 mm longer then stock , available here in europe ]
i changed it this way couse i dont wanna be stuck on an engine what is discontineud .

btw tom , if you have an original reverse crankshaft , you can make it fit in the sz/rz engines by going to a workshop and let them leathe of 2/10 mm of the counterweight . it will fit then , and for what ive heard from the german forums , it will run very well without vibes .
