dave75d if I sent you my align junk you wouldn't be able to use it anymore than I can. That is the problem. Align will not stand behind their products. Specifically a set of Align 325mm night blades. One lights correctly the other only lights for 3 minutes after a full charge, purchased from Atomic hobbies who will not help me and Align will not do anything. Next was an align 2 in 1 that will not light the glow plug enough to start the engine if the temperature is below 45 degrees, purchased from my lhs, no help from them and again no help from Align. I won't buy their junk. I also will not buy from either of the hobby shops again.

Ive had no issues at all getting AlignUSA (Assurance RC) to cover defective items) find out who your local Align rep is and get in touch with him. They can help most of the time.

They simply make great innovations for a good price.
Sure it is not the best quality out there but most of us will crash it before a part actually wears out

That said I do agree that I don't like the 2 in 1 either, it never failed on me but i ditched it once the LED's started going funny on me.

I am running 2 of the 2in1's and haven't had any problems yet. I realize they are somewhat on the cheap side but I like the convenience. It's a good thing you caught the issue when you did and I assume you will not be running another 2in1 in the future .

I am in the process of getting everything needed to convert to Spektrum AR7100/R to do away with the Align reg but I also have to spend an additional >300 bucks per heli to do it. (260 for AR7100R and 70 for Switchglo cause I like the onboard glow) Sometimes peace of mind is not cheap.

I only crash due to random planetary intervention

simonthetree. If your Align heli keeps falling to bits it just shows that your standard of building is rubbish!!!

I have a couple of gallons on mine with out any problems, but the reason I got mine is cause my bud has a lil over 300 flys and no problems what so ever and "he fly like he stole it"

I dont suffer from mental iIlness, I actually enjoy mine!

Yeah mine are going on almost 2 years with no issues but I want to go to 8v soon so they will both go. I think I will put one of them into a planker. They really are convenient little suckers and a good price also. I guess one always runs the chance of a failure with any product.

a good looking cheap heli at that. Unlike the craptor, Align helis are cheaper and has the newer technology in place. I used to fly the Stratus but the stress of flying it took the fun out of flying. The Align gives me no stress knowing for a fact that it's cheap to rebuild and with that in mind I am having a ball in the air

You are exactly right there mate. Over the years l`ve tried a few helis but always found myself going back to the Raptor 50 for the very same reason. The trex has taken over from the raptor as the top beata heli. Not the best but flys good and very good value for money.

Please tell what the "new" technology is.
They simply make great innovations for a good price.
Yes, price is great especailly in todays market. But what is their "great innovation".

I do like Align products for their price, but pleae, there is not a single thing they have done that has not already been done. They have subbed with other Companies to rebrand their stuff and sell it cheaper. They have coppied other designs that have been out much longer. The only "new and innovative" idea they have had is to make a nice pretty package with one stop shopping for a cheap price.
Not the best but flys good and very good value for money
That says it all..

Devious17 is exactly right.

I have two helis: an Aurora and a TRex600 NSP. I've put 1 gallon thru my Aurora compared with 5 gallons thru my 600 (which i got 9 months after my Aurora). For me i'd rather risk $1500 vs $3000 when i fly, plus the 600 went together in 10 days vs 6 months for the Aurora. Don't get me wrong, the Aurora is the most beautiful heli i've ever seen, but it's stressful flying it. I've got so much less invested in my 600, and it shows when i fly.

The 2in1 has worked great for me. I've even considered getting one for the Aurora.

Maybe i'll change my tune when i have some Align problems, but i felt the same way about my first heli: TRex 600e.

Like the saying goes " Cheap, no good. Good, no cheap" but I think Align made it somewhere in the middle " Cheap and not too bad"

The new tech term I used here is refering to eCCPM, CF Frame, new rotor head layout, torque tube in comparison of Align and Raptor (I should have shown some respect and not call it a Craptor, my bad)

my MA Stratus is now but a shelve queen now. Cant sell it cause everyone's in the Align craze.

But in all honesty there is not a single thing that is new. MA as well as others have been using eCCPM and carbon frames and torque tubes before Align made their first plastic POS 450x. The head design is nothing new either. They have just made it all in one neat little package that is endorsed and sold for a reasonable price. I know I have 3 of them. But the N9 gets flown the most. If I am having a bad day and want to beat a heli within an inch of its life, Out comes a trex...

I love watching these fellas that have spent way too much for way too long on other helis. I have owned 5 aligns now all of the guys at my field are flying them and NO problems. What gives'? Did align only send the good ones to Tennessee?

Simonthetree,

The only difference between the Align 50H and the OS 50H is the name. Both engines are made by OS.

Nope....We have good ones here in SF too. I (and many I fly with) have had great success with Align products. I'm not saying they are the best, but (for me) they arn't as bad as everyone makes them out to be.

T-Rex 450 SE V2 , T-Rex 600 NSP, Stryker F27 C....Yea, it's a plank.
