So how does it fly, Ken???
I have not flown it yet. The weather sucks! We had snow and rain on sunday and lots of wind all week so far.

Hey Ken

I just installed mine in my Trex 700. After you set the left and right travel limits I'm getting three flashing red blinks. Now if I'm understanding correctly that means the servo is operating less than 50% of its travel, which they dont recommend. What servo wheel did you use and on what hole did you install the ball? Originally I used the large futaba X wheel on the last hole.

So do you see the three blinking lights after you setup the travel limits? or do you get the three red?

Thanks
Carlos

It says in the manual that when setting is complete, the Led will blink three times. It does not mention what color.
I think you will be fine. If your not sure move it to the 3rd hole and try it again.

Ken

On Page 26 of the manual for Step 3 Limit Setting, under Note 1 it states; "If setting the limit position to 50% or less of the servo operating angle is attempted, an error will occur. When the color of the LED is red, the operating angle is 50% or less. Limit setting is possible at the position at which the LED lights blue."

So this is what makes me wonder about what color you might be seeing on yours with that servo wheel and ball position.

I have mine on my 600, with an 8900G servo and it's sweet. I usually use 611s. Piro rate is crazy, 125% is blazing fast. Had to turn it down compared to my 611. Stops nicely, not to hard.

ATV should be set to 100, just like the manual says, for adjusting endpoints.

GY520 Flight Test 25-28 mph/Gust upto 48mph +
I purchased my GY520 several weeks ago from Hobby Hut. I first put it on one of my beater heli's which I knew had tail issues. When I saw that it straighten it out I decided to put it on my 700. I flew my 700 with the 520 gyro at the Delaware funfly last weekend in 25 to 28 mph winds and gust up to 48mph and it handled it just fine. I am truly a "SPARTAN FAN" and have that product on my other birds and believe that this gyro because of its size will become very popular and it works great. As one of the gentleman stated above the setup was quick and painless a few minutes in the set mode and you will be ready to fly.

RIP Roman - You don't know how much your missed -
