Absolutely, I work Sat-Wed, so I don't really get to work on anything during that time, but I'll get a few pics in a couple days. Thanks again, this thing is beautiful.

I finally got a day off, and installed the pulley on my Outrage. What a HUGE difference it makes! There is less drag, and the belt now self centers itself and runs in the middle of the tensioners as well. Amazingly nice piece, someone should make these commercially, I can't imagine any 500 owner seeing it and not wanting to buy one.

I'm hoping to be able to fly tomorrow, I'll get some pics then.

It fits perfectly. It is such a huge improvement over the stock piece it is absolutely amazing. It is also light, I'm incredibly impressed by it. I'll get some pics later, I'm in the process of doing my taxes and getting pissed off at the check I have to write!

Here's a couple pics of the pulley on the heli, along with the 550's G5 brother. The Outrage helis are great, some of the details are lacking, like junk ball links, but overall, these are incredible helis. I've got the 110hv in the classifieds, and moved the velcro strap for pics, that's why it's tucked up under the gear in my pics.

I finally got a chance to REALLY fly the 550 yesterday, every previous time I've had some issue that has kept it short. Great flying heli, this pulley makes it much queiter in the air. I've got mine set up so it is stable but still quick, and it is a joy to fly, very fast, but it tracks perfectly, I was doing looooong sloooooow rolls that went most of the length of the field (300 ft or so), and it was so smooth. And when I wanted to beat on it, it was quick. Great heli.

With the Scorpion 1390 and 11t it has plenty of power and I took 2400 out of my pack in 4 minutes, so I can extend that flight by quite a bit.

Hopefully the new Delrin front pulley coming out shortly will be smooth as well.

I saw Coronal's heli crash Saturday.....wasn't good. The belt popped out, slapped the canopy leaving it's "teeth prints" on the canopy, then proceeded to wrapped it's self around the head!

I will take this opportunity to blame Ray(rcnut) for my crash. Since he didn't fly his Aurora that day my Outrage decided to "show off" the only way it knew it would get EVERYBODY's attention with a Rice Krispies show ie SNAP, CRACKLE, POP demonstration. Actually might have went snap/pop at the same time and then crackle as the blades and canopy broke on impact :O

PS Ray. Maybe we should get Dave(guy with the Schluter Champion) to paint a Boa Constrictor coming out of the crack in the windscreen of my canopy now hehe!

hey You've been told NOT to crash your Aurora.

Re: this Sat and the Outrage. That will have to be taco free for awhile now. The TREX500 on the other hand might want to take a dirt nap.

So what? Are you "dirt napping" all your heli's now? One at a time?

I am trying a different belt on my Outrage 550. It is 6mm wide so I had to use a Raptor rear tail pulley. So far I really like how it performs. It is from an industrial gear and belt store on the web.

I bought Raptor 30 belt for mine. I got the one from Helidirect that turned out to be defective, and they were great about it, and offered to send me the correct belt when it came in. UNfortunately they sent me the exact same belt again, so I bought the Raptor belt which is the same as the Bando that is supposed to be available from Outrage. I haven't put it on yet because the stock one still looks perfect, which I attribute to the aluminum front pulley which is still working great.

How wide is the Raptor belt? The rear pulley on the outrage 550 will not accept anything wider than 5.5mm

Dunno, it may be too wide, I haven't taken it out of the bag. It's a 630xl, same as the upgrade belt, so I know the length is fine, but it might be too long. If it is I'll swap the rear pulley like you did. I just know that I've never broken a Raptor belt, and I've certainly abused plenty of them.
