I 'learned to hover' with DB RCFS 4.0 back in '94 (I think) on a 486 with a brown metal box that had 2 PC style joysticks connected via the GAME interface Talk about old school. Then we (my brother in-law and I) would take his Kalt Enforcer out to the park and smash up yet another set of blades. Man, if we had just known about ball link sizers, those white links were WAY too tight for those Airtronics 94102 servos.

I almost wish I had a copy of RCFS 4.0 and that brown box, just for nostalgia.

I wish I had taken a pick before I sent it. It looked just about the same

There's no way i could have slept at night sending it to en "Elite veteran" I was worried about sending it to a "Veteran" and not some one in the new pilot area..

I think Mr. Brian will benefit from the use of this and by the time he posts asking about Phoenix or RF questions, I hope by then this will be in the hands of someone more needy...

Just think of it as the revolving RR sim.

Next thing you know you will be flying backwards inverted. (ON the SIMM)

Remember the only cost is you must send it to someone in need when you tire of it....

I will....

Im still messing with the settings a good bit, as I cant seem to make myself happy. I guess Im looking for a set up simular to what I fly for real.

Man, I suck at nose in, even on a sim!! I can hover ok, well kinda, but once it strts drifting off, I have to bail.....

Hey Cope, did you just stick with the default pitch settings, as this is the area Im struggling with, as far as adjustment?

Just what problems are you experiencing.

What model are you flying Sport 1 or 2?

AND remember the physics are kinda gameish.. (not sure if that's a word?)

The stick position is pretty spot on for non crack 3D, The auto's leave much to be desired

jschenck,
You are sooooo new school!

For the cost of postage, I can help you with that nostalgia bug.

Thanks! - but that would require me putting together a PC with a 5 1/4" drive and finding a controller box. The limited amount of time I have now is spent mostly at my heli workbench - family and job have been limiting my hobby time. I wonder if Dave Brown would release older versions of his software to the public domain just for those that like to mess with old computer stuff.

Yeah it's called Phoenix....

I think there might be some updates you can buy, but in all reality it is what it is............

I would just get it set as best as you can and fly it until you can afford Phoenix
