The SetUp Clinic gets better and better!
The Pilots that are attending the SetUp Clinic - are already in Good Hands with Bill Jackson putting the Clinic on for you... but there's more.....

I venture to say that no one in the hobby has given more setup advise and has performed more setup on helis... than Jeff Green with HeliWholesaler.

For all of those years when Jeff was in charge of the Hirobo product line at MRC - one of the biggest advantages of owning a Hirobo heli back then.... was that at the funflys, Jeff would spend as much time as it took to get your setup right, and to adapt it to your flying style.

He has performed hundreds of setups for hundreds of pilots... and pretty much seen it all at this point.

HeliWholesaler is sponsoring the SetUp Clinic. Bill is looking for help with it. With Bill and Jeff together... this will truly be an over the top Clinic for you guys.

It gets better!! There are some experienced pilots coming to HeliFUN... that have stepped up and volunteered to be there for you guys at the Clinic. They are going to give you hands on help with your heli!!! ("Thanks You Guys!!" )

The SetUp Clinic will start at 10:30 in the morning on Saturday.

If it doesn't fly after the Clinic... then it is in the Thumbs (which is what my problem is!)

dropped 200$ on a night setup today. got the 50 size xero gear night setup with blue and red. and a set of align 600D night blades. I think I am going to use the landing light as a fuel tank light. it will give a cool glow and let me keep an eye on the fuel tank level. and I don't want it blinding me while I am flying.

rich, what color do you use on the canopy/tail, I need to make sure I get the opposite of you.

I have red on the canopy and blue on the tail. Just curious, what are you going to use to power the lights. If you use a 3s pack you'll want the light controller because the blue is blinding. Ive actually been reworking mine so its not so bright. When you stick the lights on the canopy spray a little brakeclean in a rag and wipe the canopy first to get the oil off of it. Dont use alcohol its not strong enough. Just a suggestion for you.

I am actually going to use a brand new plastic canopy. so alcohol should be strong enough. I was going to power it of my flight pack, is that ok, if not I will just get a little 450 mah 2s. what do you think of the tank light? do you use the landing light?

Nate
Its fine to power it off of your flight pack.I currently dont use the landing light because you can light up a football arena with the xerogear. The landing light illuminating the fuel tank sounds like a great idea. I might have to steal the idea and do it myself.

no progress on the 600 yet, worked saturday and have been worked on my 700 afterwork, went flying today. will have it up by next weekend so I can get used to night some.

learned my high side in orientations better today. have always had trouble with side in fast moving up high right above me, got that down much better today.

also got some info from Bert K. that the OS HZ likes 1 head shim at 1,5 turns on both needles. I was running 2 turns on mid with 2 head shims. so that may be why I am having so much trouble tuning it for POWER. I ran it at 1.5 turns on mid and 1.7 turns on high today with 2 shims and it was much better. I think it will also run much better on 1 shim.

so working on getting my heli and myself top notch, and its going well.
