So what is the consensus here on the plugs? Please chime in I need to place an order!! The engine came with the Novarossi #3 but I think its too hot for South Florida Weather. I want a cooler plug.

Enya 5 worked great for me in SoCal. 75F-80F ambient temp.

Anything hotter not so good... Enya 3, 4, OS 8.

Thanks Huskyvox,

I worked on it some more this weekend and found I had to use about 3.5 in on the low and 1.75 turns out on the high. It goes lean on throttle hold if i go any more in on the low. It is making good power at 109f and 209f on the backplate and head. When I lean it to make more heat, it makes lean fluctuating noises on unloading between tricks. I am going to try adding the 3rd shim to make it .06.

Well 2 of the four clear silicone rubbers that go on the REX pipe flange are breaking after only 6 tanks? Any idea where they can be ordered?

You can get them with o-rings for pipe from ExperienceRC for around $17. Or just get the Hatori replacements from anyone who carries Hatori. They are the same as the Hatori.

If you installed them backwards they can fail. There is a direction.

I put over 40 flights on mine and everything was still fine.

I have to admit that the mounting system for the Rex Pipe is a real pain

Why could it not be a solid pipe?

3D?? No - just another input error!!!

Hi guys

It is a very similar system to the Hatori floating header design on their 90 sized mufflers.

On the Hatori, it works extremely well. I have hundreds of flights on them with no issues.

Paul

Gents,

I want to have a play with the OS carb for comparison. Does anyone know if the OS 50H carb will fit the post June (10mm) version?

Thanks

Thanks Luca,

I'm not expecting a better performance - just wondering if the tuning will be easier. Finding now that the the needles need adjustig a lot

Looking forward to your videos

Cheers

OS50H Carb
Yes, it is a lot easier to tune the engine with the OS50H Carb. That has been my experience with it. A friend of mind got a Nova and shortly after he broke in the engine he changed the carb to the OS50H. I am not saying that one is better than the other, just that the OS carb is easier to tune ( for me ).

Have fun! You will love the performance with either carb.

I have 2 Rex57, if you follow the instructions from Luca, it's really easy to setup. My only problem is the sticky carb only.

well my opinion the carb you since you have the carb mounted as I was 8.85mm for the probe and now if you have country houses with little power and temperature (190f) and believe it has much more power and now fasil of Setti I have a 91 nova and was lucky not to have many problems and the little needle carb, 2 settee I vien and heats when it would be the perfect line of little needle in 91 from the low and high.

i made 5 tanks today... the engine was running at 75C and i had richen the needles a little like half turn...

After when i went on stock settings after 1min hover the rpms gone up a little and the motor was at 110C...
i open a little(low needle) but the same happened after that when i open a little more i think from the stock between 1/4 adn 1/2 the motor was bogging from the fuel...
NOw i think i will put the Gov on and try to tune it on 1800rpms...

what do you think might be my needle... 20% fuel HR3plug and 0.4shims??
