Heart of Ohio Rotor Challenge June 20th 2009
We have selected this new date for the 8th annual Rotor Challenge to start out the flying season here in Urbana Ohio. June 20th will be our new date from now on as we were forced to move dates in the past for various reasons.

This will be a very relaxed and fun event. We intend on making Sat the 20th the official day, but we will have the field open Friday night and open Sunday also.`

Years past we have done a Prime Rib Dinner followed by night flying on Saturday night. http://www.flyurbana.com for info.

Come on out for some great relaxed flying

several folks have asked about camping and if the field will be open on Friday. Yes, it will be open for flying on Friday. We expect to go out to a local Mexican Restaurant that night, event on Sat and open flying on Sunday for those staying. Last year we had about a Doz people that stayed for Sunday.

Alpine, Yes I will be at the field Friday, expect some of the campers on Friday afternoon.

DUDE II that sounds awesome! I plan on having chicken and prime rib for the Sat PM dinner, I know we will have burgers etc earlier on Sat.
Fri Pm I think we may all go to the local Mexican Establishment.

If you feel compelled, OK, but I want everyone to have fun.

One more thing that I know some pilots are aware of. Our field faces the East so we fly, but the best flying starts after 12:00 and we go until dark. Sun completely behind us then... Everybody, bring your SMAC planes too!
