Gv1 sensor
If it has a magnet it should work, just needs the magnet to pass the sensor. If you can align the sensor round the crankcase in a suitable place.

The electronic G260PU-EI motor does not have the big magnet on the fly-wheel, in fact, it does not have a fly-wheel. It has a small magnet on a plate that a crank sensor "reads"....
Note the small magnet in the picture..

Gv1 sensor
I am not familiar with that motor,is it possible to mount the sensor 180 degrees from the ignition pick up?Maybe not if you are using a pull start.

Jimbo,

Have you thought about using it on the cooling fan? Basically the same setup as you would have with a governor on a nitro. I would think that would be the easiest route of take.

Another option would be to find an optical sensor and go with an optical trigger off the fan - ?

Good job smallplanes. I guess you "handcrafted" your sensor mount. Looks very neat.

I don't know Jimbo i've not really thought about selling them. Theres only one problem i will have to point out to you i had to mill a little slot in the motor mount so my sensor would be dead center of the magnet. You already have your motor mounted. You could use my mount with a few washers under it,but you would have to hang the sensor future off the sensor mount to get to the center of the magnet. It does not have to be center to work i just want it that way. I checked it with my multigov as i mounted it different ways and as long as just a little bit of the magnet crosses the sensor it will work. I hope i did not lose you here,it's hard to type but easy to say.

I made the mount out of G10 same stuff throttle jockey mount is made out of. When i milled the mount it turned it a whiteish color,so i just took some 3 and 1 oil and rubbed it down and it turned it bright green.

Thanks

Thanks smallplanes... If you want to make another one and sell it I`m buying???? Thanks..

I`m a machinist, but all our machines are manual, no CNC or small stuff. Working with the old "Bullard" vertical turret lathes, some people cal them "Boring mills". Also , I work with the old Turret lathes, 10L size...
The "Bullards" have 72" inch tables , so you can imagine the size of the parts we make...

Jimbo,I'll see what i can do. I did not save any of the programs so i will have to pull my mount back off a remeasure it to draw up a print. I don't make anything with out drawing a print to go by. I have to do a little reworking on my bat before setup. Have you flown yours yet?

Thanks

I have only hovered it once. I have everything I need to get it going right now; governor GV-1 ; 2 batteries and heavy duty switches;
starter wand 6mm ; I put a pull start on it but there is no way you can start it with the pull-starter, way too much compression.
I have the 26cc engine out of the frames right now trying to fabricate a GV-1 sensor bracket. I guess i will make it out of G-10; I have some extra 2.5mm G10 laying around.Hopefully this week-end i will get it flying right.

Jimbo,
Funny you can't start it with the pull start. It's the only way I start mine. I don't have an electric starter that can turn it over.....

I hope a starter will crank it because mine does not have pull start.
