The stand that Talgunner suggested will serve the purpose but won't last long, no offense Gunner. It is plastic, i would recommend this one below. It is aluminum and cheaper.

The Xgear stands are nice but i like the the less screws showing and how the bottom of the legs are a radius instead of square edges on the one of the link i posted.

Be carefull, if you are using a Futaba 10C the stand will not fit.

neilg's stand is the only one here that keeps the radio entirely off the ground, pure genius....and only $4.

It looks ok for bench use or field table use only. How awkward is it to fly with that thing hanging around your neck? Does it take a harness to hold it up or does the regular neck strap work ok? I see that it isn't attached to the tx but it doesn't do any good when you have to set your tx down to make an adjustment while flying unless your spotters 2nd job is to carry it. Not trying to be negative about it but it doesn't really look to serve any purpose to me.

The Xgear stand looks nice.

I have the plastic stand that horizon sells and it works fine but it just looks cheep.

I also have another stand that looks similar to the one that Helidirect sells and although it's anodized aluminum and looks nice it twists because there's only one cross bar ... the Xgear looks like it won't have that problem with 2 cross bars. I can't remember the name of the site I got mine but they are nice looking.

it is a stand nothing else. i have double sided tape on the bottom so it won't move. i don't like it laying flat at home and if you are at a field why place it on a table that might be moist or filthy.

those things around your neck you use to fly with are for weeeenies

I found this in a Google search. There was someone on e-Bay selling something similar, but I can't find it now. Anyone else seen these? I think they were about $15US.

From Home Depot.
It is easy to make. Well I was in the irrigation business and we had some PVC pipes, elbows, PVC glue and a cutter.
Sometimes Home Depot sells the left over from the pipe and the only thing that you need to buy are the elbows, glue and you can use your dremel or saw to cut the pipe. Of course the PVC cutter is better.
