Hi All,

Does anyone know anything about V-Plus XP batteries? They've just come out with some new 30C batteries that look awesome and have an incredible price. They have a couple that will fit my 8S TRex 600, but the one that I'm most excited about is their 10S 30C/50C 4500mah pack:

http://century-rc.com/ecs/product_s...203&kind_id=661

If they would make this battery in a stick configuration, it would be perfect for the Logo 600. At only 1070 g, it would be the lightest 10S 30C 4500 mah battery available. And it would be very close to the price that I've been paying for Logo 500 batteries!

So my questions are:

1. Are these batteries as good as they sound?
2. Can you send them an email requesting that they make the 10S 4500 pack in stick configuration?

Here's their email:

info@century-rc.com

I hope you can provide positive feedback. These batteries could save us a bundle!

Keep 'em flying.

Have not heard of that battery but I read a post about that company the other day, it was very unfavorable, very.
Just to be clear though, I have no personal contact with the company or battery

It is located in HonKong

Hi FBoss,

Yeah, I read that too. I did a search on Century-RC and came up with two unfavorable posts because of shipping delays. I was discouraged that there was anything negative, but slightly encouraged that there were only two negative posts. I expect every dealer has a few disgruntled customers.

The price is still enticing enough for me to take a chance if I could get any feedback on the batteries.

Keep 'em flying.

Hi Again,

Here's the comparison that I'm making:

- Outrage 25C, 10S, 4500 mah, 1138 g
- V-Plus XP 30C, 10S, 4500 mah, 1070 g

Higher C rating, lower weight, and I can save nearly 500 on four packs. There is no crash warranty, but I've never taken advantage of one in my two years in the hobby.

It looks awesome to me. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the feedback,
LJS

Hi FBoss,

I don't know. I might just jump in with both feet and order four packs. Desire Power is based out of Hong Kong as well. It seems likely that the specs on these batteries are accurate.

But first the problem is getting Century-RC to stock the stick packs. Can you Logo 600 guys reading this thread help me out and send Century-RC a quick one-line email requesting 10S 30C 4500 mah stick packs for Logo 600s. I've already given them the dimensions.

info@century-rc.com

Another supplier of Logo 600 batteries increases the selection for everyone. And it may result in lower prices from other suppliers.

Thanks!

You may want to check out the batteries at XPS. they sound good and the price is right. I don't endorse them, but giving you a heads up. I've never used em.

Hi Talron,

Someone mentioned XPS on one of the forums, so I did a search for XPS batteries. All I got in the search results was information on Dell computer batteries.

Do you have a URL for XPS for RC helis?

BTW, I've been to Winnipeg. Nice city and nice people.

Thanks,
LJS

Hi Talron,

They have a 6S 5000 mah 30/50C for my Logo 500 that I'm interested in. The price is excellent. And I really like the 30C/50C ratings.

However, they don't have an 8S 4500 brick pack for my TRex 600E or a 10S 4500 stick pack for my Logo 600.

Also, I'm not sure about their balance connectors. They list them as JST. Are those Thunder Power connectors?

Will they custom build batteries to spec?

Thanks,
LJS

The only thing I know is that they bought them to power Ducted Fan Jets. Those things are the hardest on Batts. Other than that, I know nothing.

Sorry,

Hi Ron,

Thanks for the tip. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they'll build the batteries for 8S TRex 600s and 10S Logo 600s. It's a long shot, but worth a call.

Otherwise, I'm still leaning toward Century-RC.

Thanks again.

Hi Perfeet,

Mo Yiu at Century RC is a sweetheart. And she's very quick to respond to any questions.

Glad to hear you like the batteries. I was all set to buy eight, but then got a killer deal on Outrages.

Please keep us posted on the battery performance (both V-Plus XP and XPS).

Keep 'em flying.

Hi

I run a T-rex 500 flybarless with headspeed of 2900+ and the batteries handle that well. They are warm when finished, but not hot.

Have both the V-Plus XP 2500mah 25c and 2600mah 30c version they sold before. The 30c version is actually a little lighter and smaller(!). Probably newer tech. But performance wise they are in the same ballpark.

I have not used Outrage (except a 2100mah) so I can't compare.

But because of buying cheaper batteries I have soon nine lipos. So I can now fly for a long time in the park

The reason I got XPS lipos was to try something different to compare.

That is a close weight to the TP V2 3850 10s stick pack.

The 10s4000+ packs are pretty pricey, I am going to stick with US based vendors. I sent back a bad 5s5000 (had one bad cell, never even used it) to China that cost me $30 in shipping and not knowing if they will give me back credit or replacement. I don't mind eating a bad 450 size heli packs but these $250+ packs are hard to swallow when they go bad.

I will try XPS next time, those guys run EDF Jets and pull a lot more continuous amps than we do.

How many cycles is everyone getting on their 10s Logo 600 packs??? I am just curious how much its costing per flight. It would be pretty sad getting 10 cycles on a $300 pack. 100 cycles would be nice but I don't even get that on all my helis as I have been averaging 40-60 with TP, FPs, Outrage and Zippy's.
