Hi guys,
I've been out of the hobby for about 6 years now. With the new batteries that are out and the digital servos and everything, I'm looking for some recommendations for a battery.. The charger I have is a Dymond Super Turbo wich works great!! I was kinda thinking about staying with NiMh batt as I already have the chrager..

I'll be running:
3x 9252's
1x 9001
601/9251

I've read a little about the digitals drawing alot of Ma and NiMh not beeing able to keep up.. I was looking at a JR extra 4500Mah NiMh battery....

Any ideas---recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

I run all digitals and my battery is just a 1500mAh futaba battery. I can get around 6 or so flights before recharging which probibly isnt anywhere close to the guys running those huge lipos. I usually only go up 6 times every outing anyway. Anything more than that turns into work But now Im into aerial photography so I may have to get a bigger battery also

I probably should mention that I'm running a AR7000 receiver.. And I will be adding a gov soon.. I was kinda worried about keeping the voltage up for the receiver as these are not tollerant to low voltage.

I always flew with at least a 2500-2900mah Nimh battery and would last the whole day.
Just to be safe, I would recommend at least that.

Just lately I switched to LI-ION batteries with the arizona regulators in both my helis.

These batteries hold their discharge rate constant up until they are drained to their limit. Nimhs would drop their performance as they get discharged.Again I am using a 2900mah but for the turbulence I am looking to get a 5200mah as I will be running at 6 volts and want to be sure it will last the day...

So depending what kind of flying you are planning to do and how long into the day, you have your options.

Trex 550 V-BAR, Trex 700 V-BAR, N5-os55VBAR, TREX700E V-BAR /X9503

I met a guy at a fun fly recently that runs the new VXP toll packs as RX packs. They are A123 based and he uses the B&D charger to charge them. I thought that was a cool idea. They have spade terminal slots in the top of them so it is easy to hook them up without having to modify them at all. Anyways here is a link to the B&D web site
