I find myself in the unfortunate position of having to sell much of my most prized heli stuff due to a run-in with a parked car. Like many of us (You know who you are), I've spent untold fortunes on this stuff - well beyond what I could realistically afford. I know I should have thought about that before now, but I didn't. Now it's time to pay the piper.

I'm pretty new at selling stuff online. I took some pictures and posted stuff on Runryder and Helifreak and some of it seems to be moving. I just opened an Ebay account, but I've never sold anything there. Anybody got any advice?

Here's one of my classifieds: http://runryder.com/t487799p1/

Hang on and hope for the best. Your ad looks complete, well described and even priced right and as long as your willing to take some more close up pics if someone asks your on the right track. Some items will always sell faster than others, especially if you get lucky and someone needs that item now.

I also agree your not an idiot, accidents happen and you manned up and are taking care of it. Your all good in my book!!

I put the fun in dysFUNctional :)

Good job on being a man. Bad karma really does have a way of biting you down the line.

IMHO you will probably do better on E-bay than here.

I would say you would get better quality lookers and buyers here than on ebay. There are a couple of good heli sites on the web including this one. Those guys come here for one reason and that is helis. Ebay is kind of like a craigs list in my opinion. My best advice is even though you are going through tough times try not to sell all of it. Keep at least one. No matter how bad things get, you still need a hobby to get your mind off of everything else. My best advice for the things you are going to sell, advertise it as honestly as it gets. I'm not saying that you are dishonest but I have seen some good deals go bad on here lately and hate seeing people get taken advantage of. Sorry about your tough times and good luck with the sale.

Thanks guys! I'm going to try adding posts to Craig's list as well. I'll also investigate Ebay. Ebay seems a bit more involved though. I don't know. We'll see.

Thanks again!

Cant't his insurance cover it and you make payments to him, to lighten the burden? Check your homeowners insurance, you can be suprised by what they cover.
