Just wondering really how many flights a tail servo will last, i see a lot of posts about them failing at about 200, is this mid air failure or does the tail act strange.
I assume most are flying nitro and the vibes contribute to shorter life.
I fly electric 90 size and 4 min flights, just wondering how long to expect it to last before i get BLS251 servo to replace it.

Not all gyros can work with the BLS251. You need narrow pulse.

Mine started twitching occasionally after 250flights or so, I think. Using it for the throttle now and still working after a total of 500flights.

Depends on what kind of vibration it's exposed to and how much gain you run. If you crank it up till it wags then back off a hair it won't last as long as someone that turns up the gain until the gyro holds well enough for however they fly.

Mine tend to last about 800 flights on a Raptor 50, mounted in the front. I've actually never had one completly fail, They either stop holding as well, or get twitchy when sitting.
