For people using the aluminum servo wheels from Quick, did you get the 28 or 35mm set? Im planning on using them on the jr8717 as I heard the plastic align wheels are stripping on some people.

I stronly suggest not using metal wheels. The 8717's ar very strong servos, however I have yet to stip an Align servo wheel in flight.

The only time the Align wheels will strip is in the event of a crash, other than that there is no issues.

You are far better to have the plastic wheel strip in a crash than to break the metal gears in the 8717 because you are using a metal wheel.

Stick with the Align wheels, you will be much happier in the long run.

+1 on Mikes advice. In a crash, the aluminum wheel will do much more damage. From what I have heard, the Align ones are only stripping in a crash, doing there job. Saving you from a VERY expensive set of servo gears.

I bought a set of QUK aluminium wheels before reading this thread. Do you think the Align ones will do their job on a 90 doing crack manouvres?

1. is there such thing as Align servo wheels for align servo or just use the servo arm which comes with the servo?

2. I only know that align made servos wheels for futaba, JR and Hitec? how abt itself. do they make Align servo wheel for align servo.
