Hi
here is a link to a plug
http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.8...it.A/id.1382/.f

or use this info
Resistor plug, 10mm threads, 1/2" reach, 5/8" hex head.
to source an NGK

like a NGK CMR7H spark plug. 10mm thread, 1/2" reach, 5/8" hex,

NGK is a better choice in plugs. If you have a motorcycle dealer/shop close by then check with them. It would need to be a honda, yamaha, kawasaki or suzuki dealer. I use to run a parts dept at a honda dealer and it is a common stocked plug. If you see someone that carries honda power equipment they should have it as well.

Dave's Discount Motors also carries the NGK CMR7H

I agree and would choose the NGK over the Champion.

Well it looks like i got to find the NGK after all. I ordered the plug by the link posted and i got them today and there nowhere close to the same size as the stock plug. There so long i think it will hit the piston. Will the Y82 plug that came with the motor work or will it cause RF?

Thanks for replys

When I turn on my ignition my tail servo(s9254) vibrates and hums more than usual. I too have the "Y82" plug. I will have to get the "R" plug also. And , I`m flying Spektrum DSM2, DX7.

hi smallplanes
what is odd is , i have a Zenoah G-231 and a Zenoah 260RC , both running Champion RZ7C plugs , so i am surprised they don't fit , i believe the Zenoah engines come with these plugs as standard , all i can think is , the plugs you received must have a different number on them

Zenoah plugs
Early Zenoah engines use a 14mm threaded plug with a short reach.I have a box full of early Zenoah heli engines and they all use the smaller plug.Do you have a picture of your original plug?Edit, sorry didnt realise you were talking EI.

Hi smallplanes

i have a G-20ei that came stock with a Y82 , i got on the web and looked around a bit , and see that people are posting that the G-260ei comes stock with the Y82 also , i wonder if zenoah is running the y82 on all their engines now , or just on the EI engines ,

the other big difference with the Y82 and the RZ7C is they run different caps , so if you have a sparkplug cap designed for a Y82 it will not fit on a RZ7C

.

Found a spark plug cross reference chart and the champion Y82 crosses over to NGK CM-6.

Yes it is a small plug with a grove in the cap end. This is the 26cc EI and its new it came with the Y82,do you think it will be fine to run it? I always run a R plug in my gas plane motors so i thought i should in this motor also. Maybe the 2.4 fasst will cover the RF from the plug, the cap on the EI is metal and the line is braided metal. I'm not ready to run the motor but it want be long before i am.

Thanks guys
