Read 5000 links on this washout arm construction. Is the picture in the manual correct (Step 4-1 page 25)? If not, how should you do the construction? If different than the manual, could someone provide a picture??

Thanks. BR

The letters will be backwards when installed correctly, problem the links are hard to pop on likr that.the best thing to do is install the links on the balls first then screw them into the swashplate.

So the picture for assembly IS correct? Links to the arm are on the inside as shown?

Yes, its right when it looks backwards. Install the balls first then put the screws into the swash, if you try to push the "backwards" washout arm onto the ball on the swash its possible that you will crack it.

And you insert the balls from the OUTSIDE of the washout arm. That is when it is installed so it looks upside down.

I would recomend you to tight the washout arms with some green loctite! I've seen two Airskipper type II (same head) crashing because the washot arm flew away!

And if you need to remove the washout link don't force it off outwards the way you normally would - you will damage the link so that it is dangerously loose and will need replacing. The links are cheap to replace but if one or both came off in flight...
