I am new at this hobby and will get a Blade 400. It comes with stock servos and gyro. I have seen several people using the Futaba 401 Gyro. What is the advantage of using the 401. Also can someone help me out if I was to up grade to the 401 is it hard to instal. Is ther a site or somewhere I can read up or see pictures of the proper set up.
I am new and am still learning by reading many forums and asking questions. Thanks to you guys out there I am doing not to bad.
Thanks for yr help.
Newbie.

The advantage of 401 is it can be changed from head hold to rate from the transmitter while flying. Also the gyro gain can be changed from the transmitter, no need to get out a tiny screw driver.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Gyro,

Maybe I missing the point, but I can adjust all those things on my G110 from my TX.

Ausable,

IMO the 401 is better because you, me, and most heli pilots here will never be able to out fly it. Upgrade to the 401 and you won't have to worry about your tail anymore.

Shhh, don't tell the wife.

I too just bought a B400 and have the same question. If I were to buy a Futaba 401 gyro, would it just plug right in? (I'll assume that I have to set the trim again.) I test flew it in a garage, i.e no wind. I'm interested because I notice quite a bit of tail wag. I'm not causing the wag, it just gets jumpy. This is why I upgraded from the Blade CP. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
