Its helping you alot for normal flying. But when it comes to more 3D stuff and hard 3D maneuvers its CRAP I think.
Its something that you must feel and get used to it.I still can't understand that some guys fly so good.A good machien helps to I think.

If you can fly without any stress I think you're a much better pilot.
Someday I will fly like a pro.

A simulator will increase your chances by a wide margin.

If you have flown rc planes then you have a chance of succeeding with an RC heli...but this depends heavily on the type of heli you want to fly.

Simulators are not perfect, but the better ones will allow you to setup scenarios...once you get past learning to do basic flying...say you want to replicate a failure. With a Sim you can practice dealing with that failure...because reality doesnt give you that second chance of getting you model to the ground, more or less in one bit.

Dont treat the sim as a game...thats important..every time you crash dont get too angry but think about what went wrong...and fix that problem...takes time and patience

I dont know why some flyers are so good at 3D, I would love to 3D the gasser I have but its too large and expensive to risk I do have a Trex 450 that I have started to loop and roll with.

Quality takes........time!

3D on sim.
Simulator is not crap for 3D - I have learned and practiced all MY 3D stuff on the simulator. Its almost as accurate as real flying,
The major change in real time is just keeping confident, because you are not afraid to crash on the sim.
I always practice on the sim. first, then real time.

Then sim will give you orientation and finger memory, which is going to make flying the real rc thing easier.

Oke maybe not crap but its alot easier in the sim than in real.I think al pilots do things real low without crashing in the sim but when they do it in real.HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Timing is much more important in real.

Well the reason people do things low in the sim I don't think is to be daring but because it's easier to see what the machine is doing.
