Anyone running this on the 500? Worth modding the servo mount?

Life is tough, it's tougher if you're stupid

I love this servo on my 500. Its worth modding the servo mount but its even easier to just use the 600 servo mounting plate and use the 500 servo mounts.

It was a "Brown Out" not me.

Why not go with an Ino Lab HG-D261HB? Smaller, lighter (less than half the weight) and same speed (can use 6v .06 seconds on 6V) as a 9254.

I was originally going to go with a BLS 251 and trex 600 mount, then I was told by a friend about the Ino Lab servo.

I'm running the 9254 with 600 mount, just upgraded from a 9257. Definitely worth it! Much better tail authority over the mini servo.

You may cook this servo with 6V.

IMO, using 9650 with 9257 gear give me plenty of speed, and it's lighter than 9254. No mod necessary.

"You may cook this servo with 6V." Nope, it is meant to run on 6 volts. One of the few tail servos that I've found made to run on 6v. No cooking here.

Here are the specs

• Speed : 0.07s/60°, 0.06s/60°

9254 is such a big servo. I am very pleased with the holding power of the 3500G. That doesn't take any modification

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!
