I am a little confused,if you can build and do the mechanical work, why cant you set up??How do your heli's get set up now??

what exactly do you need to know?

You could go back to your friend and ask him to explain what he is doing while setting up your heli. You can also check out the Finless videos at Helifreak, he has some information on setup you will find helpful.

There are also video's out there, I think they are called Ray Hollister Authority on heli's or something like that. Maybe somebody will chime in.

yes Ghostrider had an excellant suggestion, have your set up guy explain everything as he does it,once you see it done and know what each adjustment does, its easy.then you can fine tune your heli's more precisely for your style

I know what you mean, for me set-up is fine it's the engine tuning that I need help with. Luckily I have cool flying buddies.

Setup varies greatly from person to person. Your friend that does yours should be able to give you some basics that apply to all setups. I would watch the finless videos also because once you truly understand how the different radio functions work then you will be able to start playing around and "tweaking" your own helis to suit your personal style.
