Don't kid yourselves fellas. These liquidators come in, jack up all the prices to MSRP and then discount from the MSRP, not Circuit's normal price. Good deals will not be had until the very end of the liquidation when stuff is marked down 30-40% and by then, all the stuff you'd normally be interested in is already gone.

Circuit City has been going out of business out here ( Arizona) since before Christmas. Supposedly they were going out of business in Cali too at the same time, but I'm not positive.

Their prices were always higher than Office Depot in our location.

I passed them up most of the time.

Are you kidding
There markdown prices will still be higher than newegg.com, amazon.com and buy.com. I get sick when I see retail prices. I know you have to keep the lights on but I can't imagine the 50% markup you see nowadays.

Sadly Sponsored by: VISA, MASTERCARD, and Bank of America

So where is the best place to get a nice LCD t.v?

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

I have never been a big fan of Circuit City. In my area they have always been kind of dirty and their customer service was very poor compared to best buy. Keep in mind, those awesome deals are not so awesome when something goes wrong with them a couple months down the road and there are no circuit city's left. Then how good of a deal did you really get?

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

I had two T.V.'s go bad that i bought from them in 3 months. Not there fault but after a little strong negotiations they replaced both T.V.'s outside of there normal return policies. Now with my Third T.V. i bought their protection plan. My concern is will i still have a protection plan when they go out of business? If not i wonder if i can get a refund on the protection plan.

Every large electronics shop I like is shutting down. I liked CompUSA, and I liked Circuit City. Not a fan of Best Buy.

The protection plans are not through Circuit City. They are through GE Assurant. Your protection plan is still good.

Yes, they are going out of business in Cali as well. The stores are still around because they need to move inventory from the warehouses through the stores. Personally, I like Best Buy's product mix.

I always liked Best Buy better but I don't like seeing CC go. I wonder what will happen to prices without them as competition?
