I have the Kasama head and stock spindle in mine and I've never bent one in flight. Well in the air anyways, I've bent a few at the unexpected end of a flight.

The QuickUK spindle may be Stainless Steel which would not be magnetic, but just fine to use.
Not true. Some stainless steels are magnetic. Martensitic and Ferritic stainless steels are magnetic. Examples are Type 410 and 430. Martensitic can be heat treated while Ferritic cannnot. Except for a few Ferritic alloys, they contain no nickel in the alloy.

The non-magnetic stainless steels are Austenitic stainless steel. Probably the most common example of Austenitic SS is Type 304. FWIW

Hi,

For all use of Kasama Head with red damper please check your spindle bent, It show very little not like the crash bent.

Battery operated screw driver will show the blade grip up and down.

If understand........ Nice!!

pitch
How much pitch are you running, I have a prototype head from TT for my 50 that I was able to get about 15* +/- and with 600mm blades, When I did hard collective stops or hung into a hard pitch move I could bend the spindle some too. It’s all about control and how you fly Dino.

. Look at colons vid with his TT 50 in the vid section, he has the bell mod on his titan and runs 15* pitch and max out cyclic, timing and control is key with that much deflection on the blades.

I just watched your video and that seems like more than a little bit. I'm suprised thats not causing tracking issues. I run the blue dampers with the Kasama metal head and grips and have not bent one yet, except for a botched auto. It does make you wonder why some bend and some don't.

Do you have any video of your flying so we can see what type of flying style is bending these things?

Im riding with Dino on this one,if the thrust bearings are sloppy the spindle could bend on pitch pumps from slapping up and down on the bearings.I have over 30 flight on the same Spindle/Red dampers and my tracking is perfect,im not a pro but im pretty hard on my Rappy

JingshiRap-
I think Dino has got it...
I had a bad set of Thrust Bearings in a factory head running 10+/- and it would thrash a TT factory spindle (feathering shaft)...

The factory parts are good, I've run both Taiwan/China TT parts and never bent one. I would go with taking the Blade Grip/Thrust bearings apart, look for wear/slop and make sure your putting them in back together in correct fashion.

Your getting some sort of "slam slop" from something other than the feathering shaft...

Dampeners? possible!
Thrust bearings...Probable!

Look for the slop that will allow the shaft to FLEX enough to bend!

Hi Flyers,

Wow , That's new for me. How can I know if my Thrust Bearing are sloppy?

There a 2 washer for thrust bearing , one of it fit to spindle and the other slightly bigger inner hole.

If understand........ Nice!!

Solved
Hi,

I would like to inform you guys that I solved the problem. After doing testing, replacing many of spindles and some flap dampers after flights...

I found out that, without greasing flap damper and the spindle... it will not bend anymore. Normally I use multi purpose and O ring grease.

If understand........ Nice!!
