I have a Scorpion motor that seems to be almost seized. It does spin up and does give good rpm, but sounds strange. I just took it off the heli and I am unable to spin it freely by hand. If anyone has any idea if this motor is near toast let me know.

If it's not the bearings being bad then it could be some of the windings have slipped of the stator and is dragging between the stator and magnets. If that is the case don't run the motor anymore because it will short out. I would send it in.

sounds like a good enough reason to me, and I will take your recommendation of sending it in. I've already ordered a replacement to have a spare when this one comes back in. Thank you Heli 770.
I do spin this motor really hard, and expected it to die quicker but it has a lot of flights on it while in my hands and who knows on the previous owner.
